For this study I have used Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory. The questionnaire method have used for data collection from 160 advertising agencies’ employees, form the Lahore and Bahawalpur through convenience sampling technique at the same point of time (cross-sectional) and data analysis is done in warp. PLS this shows the positive relationship between the hypotheses. This study is done on individual levelItem Impact of Servant Leadership on Employees’ Innovative Work Behaviors; A Moderated Mediation Analysis.(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2020) Saira Altaf; FA18-RMS-001; Dr. Imran Shafique; LHR TP 6049The “purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between SL and IWB of employees via PsyEmp and to check whether psychological capital enhance PsyEmp amongst faculty members of universities in higher education sector of Punjab, Pakistan. Previous studies have ignored the relationship among these variables in higher education sector context. The Conservation of self-determination theory states that Inherent traits are their psychological capital which recognize that how much they are optimistic, hopeful, resilient and has efficacy. Unit of analysis are individual faculty members. The data has been gathered from various universities of Lahore and Faisalabad including both public and private sectors through self administered questionnaires of 200 faculty members of sample size via convenience sampling technique”. Basic descriptive statistics, “PLS Regression is executed to estimate the relationship between Servant Leadership, psychological capital, psychological empowerment and innovative work behaviors under current research. The study contributes to the extant literature, as the findings Suggest that, being a dispositional boundary condition, PsyCap plays a contingent role in explaining PsyEmp and the role of SL in fostering IWB. Moreover, the results also confirm previous findings, which suggested that servant leaders promote IWB”. The “findings imply that SL and PsyEmp are important for promoting innovative work behaviors. Given that innovative work behaviors is a complex product of an individual’s behavior, high psychological capital employees feel more empowered and utilize them to elicit innovative work behaviors. Managers are recommended to proactively develop and PsyEmp as well as positive psychological resources among employees to achieve IWB”.Item Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure and Financial Performance: Moderating Role of Sub National Institutional Contingencies(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2021) Muhammad Hamza Khan; FA18-RMS-015; Dr. Sajid Nazir; LHR TP 6349Over the past few decades, the disclosure about corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities has increased due to increased awareness. This study investigates moderating role of sub national institutional contingencies on the relationship between corporate social responsibility disclosure (CSRD) and financial performance (FP) and the relationship between environmental disclosure (ED) and FP in context of Pakistan. The study uses OLS (ordinary least squares) technique to draw interference from data. We use CSRD index which consist 40 items under the five main themes and for environmental disclosure this study develop an environmental index based on 10 items. Sub-national institutional contingencies (SNIC) consists four factors, ownership concentration, developed & non- developed regions, family ownership and group affiliation. FP measure in two way accounting measure and market measure. We find positive association in CSRD and financial performance and also positive relationship between ED and FP. We find reliable evidence that SNIC (family ownership, ownership concentration and regional development) have negative and significant impact on CSRD and ED but group affiliation have no effect on CSRD and ED. Moreover, SNIC moderate the positive and relationship between CSRD and FP and also in ED and FP. The relationship is stronger in non F own firm, own-con, less developed region and G-Aff as compare to their counterparts. From a practical point of view, the study shows that decision makers, executives and managers should avoid “one-and-for-all” strategy. By contrast, They need to be evaluated immediately effect of family ownership, ownership concentration, regional development and group affiliation characteristics. Considering the weak performance by the firms in family owned firms, non ownership concentration, regional development and non-group affiliation firms, policymakers and governments should increase information transparency, enact stricter regulations, and encourage these companies to improve their corporate social and environmental disclosure. It also provided insights into other emerging economies, especially those with special government intervention.Item Impact of perceived organizational support and job autonomy on teachers’ proactive behavior moderating role of supervisor support(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2021) Fatima Mumtaz; FA18-RMS-011; Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah; LHR TP 6382This research analysed the impact of perceived organizational support and job autonomy on teacher’s proactive behaviour-moderating role of supervisor support among the teachers working in the secondary level school. School operate in a multifaceted and competitive environment which demand to adopt the updated context and situation. School depends on the teachers and expect from them to behave proactively, take initiatives and perform self starting task to improve the whole work situation. Immediate supervisors are responsible for stimulating work-related behaviours like proactive. Prior studies do not research on the relationship of POS and Job Autonomy with teacher’s proactive behaviour. Therefore, this research has been developed to measure this impact with the moderating effect of supervisor support. For this research study, quantitative data is collected from school teachers of Lahore. To test the model, this study carried the regression, descriptive analysis, Cronbach alpha and correlation, by using SPSS and Structural equation Modeling. This study will help the educational institutes administrations to best understand the phenomena and enhance proactive behaviour, while giving required autonomy and support from organization and supervisors in their organizations. The study discussed the future implications on the gap identified for researchers to conduct study in future.Item Inventory Management System In Packages Limited Pakistan(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2021) Iram Khalid; FA18-RBA-010; Aniqa Rehman; LHR TP 6353Inventory management plays an important role in a business, especially in businesses, with the export and import of products. Issues in inventory management can cause disruptions in supply chain. Packages is a well-known hosiery printing company of Pakistan which has national and international clients. They have a very well relation with their clients and with their suppliers in case of requesting items for manufacturing processes. The supply chain of any organization requires a proper implementation and a proper control of inventory so that there is no hurdle at any time of finishing product. This research shows how inventory issues can cause problems in overall supply chain management. A perfect supply chain can enhance the company output and a supply chain with problem can affect the company’s output. In Packages there are inventory issues that are causing disruptions in supply chain which are imprecise inadequate forecasting, large inventory volumes and incorrect stock information and spread sheet and manual inventory trailing. In this research I have used primary and secondary method in which I have interviewed the procurement managers to get knowledge of all the inventory management issues and how they are managing their inventory. At the end I have recommended some solutions to the problems of Packages.Item Linking Environmentally Specific Transformational Leadership and Employees Pro Behaviours: The mediating Role of Personal Environmental Norms(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, 2020-02-04) Jawaria Jamshed; FA18-RMS-017; Dr. Zafar uz Zaman; LHR TP 6383The Banking sector has always led to Environmental challenges caused by unsustainable actions of Human activity, thereby, increasing of demand for Environmental sustainability in the sector. This Research is conducted to investigate the key determinants of Employees' pro-environmental behaviours’ (PEBs), by using two potential theories: social learning theory and the theory of norm-activation. The Main purpose of this current study is to investigates employees' perception regarding their leaders, because they play a vital role in inspiring, encouraging and have big impact on employees' behaviours'. To investigate employees' PEBs, several theoretical constructs have been developed in the field of environmental sustainability. The study uses Survey approach to collect data using self-administrated questionnaire from the sample of 200 in different Banks of Pakistan by using Convenience sampling techniques technique at the same point of time (cross-sectional). Basic descriptive statistics and PLS regression is executed to demonstrate how and under what circumstance ETFL affects employees’ PEBs effectively. The Finding of this study reveals that ETFL is positively related with Employees' PEBs. This relationship is partially mediated by Personal Environmental Norms (PEN). All relationships are significant and all hypotheses are accepted.Item The Relationship between Safety-Efficacy, Safety Climate and Safety Behavior: The Mediating Role of Regulatory Focus and Moderating Role of Subjective Task Complexity(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, 2020-02-04) WAHEEB AMJAD; FA18-RPM-018; Dr. Ghulam Hussain; LHR TP 6390The main reason of the current study was to determine how better regulatory focus orientations could explain the relation between safety-efficacy, safety climate and safety behaviors of individuals’. Deficient or the absence of occupational safety and health (OSH) not just adversely influences the project boundaries of cost, quality, and timetable; however affect the sustainability of natural climate. Occupational safety and health (OSH) is a very significant subject in project management, but rare study contributes to the manufacturing sectors of Pakistan. The proposed model explains the relationship between safety-efficacy, safety climate and individual’s safety behaviors, through the mediating role of self-regulatory focus and moderation role of “subjective task complexity”. A sample of 430 respondents (which have been working under plant installation/maintenance) projects from manufacturing sector over the Pakistan is selected. Basic demographic, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), normality test, regression process, moderation, mediating Process by Andrew Hayes is executed using SPSS V25 and AMOS 26 software’s. Our 4 hypotheses are accepted and 1 hypothesis is rejected. This study demonstrates promotion and prevention focus play partial mediating between safety climate, safety-efficacy and safety behaviors of individuals’. This study also reveals the effect that only subjective task complexity can positively affect the safety x behavior of individuals. The current study provides some directions for future research and limitations which is described in chapter-6 briefly.Item Perceived Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Evidence from Power Plant Projects(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, 2020-02-03) Maaz Ahmad; FA18-RPM-019; LHR TP 6391; Dr. Asma ImranPower sector in Pakistan lacks the generating capacity with respect to increase in demand of electricity due to which power sector is facing a lot of challenges and hard times. Rising geopolitical challenges, increase in population and growing companies form a stress on the power sector that lacks the ability to meet requirements of electricity in the country. This results in electricity cuts at certain times during the day. Due to these electricity cuts private industries/firms has suffered a lot in terms of their production, as a result different firms and households started self generation in order to cover supplied electricity deficiency. For continuous and economical supply of electricity private industries started installing their own thermal power plants. Gas, Diesel/H.F.O and coal fired are the types of power plants that were installed and still being installed by private industries of Pakistan. At beginning these power plants were installed without proper management and well defined performance indicators but with the increase in technology complexities, growth of industries to international level, international health and safety environment (HSE) rules and increase in power demand these power plants began to become a failure without proper management and well defined performance indicators. So, Industries had to shutdown large number of power plants as they were non profitable and not fulfilling the energy requirements as well. Thus, by observing this situation there is a certain need of defining specific set of Key Performance Indicators for these private industry power plants that could be followed during installation of power plant projects. As identifying key performance indicators is vital to prioritize low cost/no cost solutions and ensuring energy saving, ensure a safe working environment, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations applied in a specific country and help in studies of technical and economic feasibility. Thus, this research aims to identify, recommend specific set of KPIs and reveal different levels of significance of KPIs for Gas, Diesel/H.F.O and coal power plants installation in private industries of Pakistan. After an extensive literature review, this research identifies 55 KPIs under 8 categories. A questionnaire survey was conducted in order to obtain the desired research objectives. Finally, survey results were analyzed to identify valid set of KPIs and comparison of significance of these KPIs for Gas, Diesel/H.F.O and coal power plants in Pakistan’s private industries. A valuable reference is provided in this study for all the related personnel involved in installation of power plant projects in private industries of Pakistan.
