Item Master Sanitary Fittings Ltd.(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2017-11-20) Usama Athar; DDP-FA14-BBA-062; Aniqa Rehman; LHR TP 6884By the end of my internship program I was able to generate UPS labels, learn about WEBOC (Web based one customs) clearance system to keep track of your shipments going through the customs process, Profoma invoice, Commercial invoice, Packing list, the concept of under-invoicing to reduce custom expenses, various negotiation tactics used by the Import and Export personnel to get the shipping companies (GLS and Damco) to charge as low as possible and types of shipment LCL (Low container load) and FCL (Full container load). In Research and development department, I was able to learn various procedures and vendor evaluation stages, Quality checking, MOQ (minimum order quantity), attempt to get free samples and using Vernier scale to get accurate measurements. In the marketing and sales department, I got to learn company’s various marketing strategies such as Billboard ads and how they are strategically placed across the city, Expo centers, Joint Strategic business unit’s (SBU) Master Tiles and Master Sanitary offices and the proper utilization of social media as a marketing tool. I also got an insight of how the company differentiates itself from the market to grasp the maximum number of customers by using strategies such as Intensive distribution strategy, Cost leadership, Contracts with marriages hall and restaurants for future renovations and home delivery installation. During my interaction with the sales staff, I came to know of the target pricing strategy adopted by them. Moreover, Mr. Tariq HR assistant manager provided me the opportunity to observe the interviews being conducted for vacant positions which allowed me to learn the etiquettes of an interview and what the interviewer demands from the candidate. This internship program has allowed me to look at things from a professional perspective and provide solutions according to the formal framework. Archroma can easily be categorized as a company in multi-billion-dollar end markets with a lot of challenges and business opportunities.Item Internship report on Askari Bank Limited(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2017-11-20) Faizan Arif; FA14-BAF-068; Amir Riaz; LHR TP 6898Askari Bank Private Limited (AKBL) was formed on October 9, 1999 under Karachi, Lahore and Islambad stock exchanges. It is primarily aimed at providing loans, managing reserves and corresponding budget administrations. For these services, Askari Bank holds its rank among top banks of the country. Its sustainability has been challenged many times as a emerging name but it managed to overcome these constraints so far and has now more than 406 branches across the country satisfying millions of clients. I started my internship at Askari Banks on July 12, 2017. I spent around six weeks (42 days) at the bank to understand the structure and dynamics of activities like customer correspondence, recruitment and understanding staff duties in its various departments of the branch. My deep observations regarding these executions have been added to the report. These points not only include the portfolio reports of the bank but also my own work related inferences. During my stay at the bank, I was appointed as a learning subordinate. The bop has the ability to face the challenges and to resolve the issues. My internship period was from 13 July 2017 to 24 august 2017.I learned about different functions in the bank. This report consists of my learning as an internee in the bank of Punjab EME branch. This report consists of mission and vision of the bank. In my report I have clearly mentioned the history of Sapphire textile mills along with the complete information about the directors and their ownership in Sapphire group. PEL has delivered many designer and specialist to the engineering sector of Pakistan through its apprenticeship and training program. This report prepared by me. They are dealing with the heavy duty trucks and buses. Hino is providing the reasonable prices to its customer and providing the best quality and excellence that are best in the region with over 60000 vehicles on road providing its customer a comfort and best means of heavy transport services by mean of their heavy duty vehicles. I have a great experience to have an internship there in finance department. During my conduct I oversees the sales services and spares department that how they are being treated operationally. For this I worked on pinochle software. This report covers all the work that I have done there during my internship I have also done SWOT Analysis and gather all the information about Hino as much as I can do in all aspects.Item INTERNSHIP REPORT ON PAKISTAN TELECOMMUNICATION COMPANY LIMITED(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) QASIM MAHMOOD; DDP-FA14-BBA-093; Shahzad Ghafoor; LHR TP 6943EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This internship report covers my six weeks of experience at the Finance and Revenue departments of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL). The report starts with the evolution of PTCL from a telegraph department in 1947. The background explains various events in the journey of PTCL and effects of privatization. Corporate vision, mission and corporate information is mentioned to make us aware about what company believes in and who are managing this historic and leading telecommunication company of Pakistan. Organizational structure has been explained with the help of an organizational chart. The Organizational structure section explains the complete hierarchy of various departments of PTCL at corporate level. Company’s position has been analyzed using SWOT analysis. The SWOT analysis helps us understand the opportunities and challenges faced by the company and what PTCL can do to overcome weaknesses and benefit from opportunities. Marketing strategies section explains the products and services being provided to its customers by PTCL. PTCL basically offers three types of services i.e. one play (Internet), two play (Internet and DSL) and three play (Internet, DSL and Smart TV). The competitive strategies which PTCL is currently implementing are cost leadership, diversification and differentiation. Finance department is the main focus of the internship. The finance branch includes accounts office which deals with operational and capital expenditures, whereas revenue department mainly deals with customers’ complaints and recovery of maximum receivables by the customers. The revenue department tries to retain the defaulters and recovers the receivables in order to avoid bad debts.Item Bulleh Shah Packaging (Pvt) Ltd.(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) Humza Saleem; DDP-FA14-BBA-068; Haroon Rashid; LHR TP 6945Bulleh Shah Packaging came into existence to enhance the business of packages limited. Bulleh Shah Packaging (Pvt.) Ltd. is a joint venture being set up in Pakistan between Packages Limited and Stora Enso. Packages Ltd. is the leading packaging organization. The organization produces paper and board and changes over it into high quality printed packaging items. The organization utilizes the most recent accessible innovation in its adaptable, in the production of their product. Stora Enso is a world pioneer in the board and packaging business and has through this Joint Venture extended its sustainable packaging business to Pakistan. The organization created approx. 11 Million tones of paper and board a year ago and is the biggest provider of fluid packaging board. Their aggregate turns over added up to approx. 11 Billion Euro. Packages Ltd. is satisfied from this joint venture because of its increasing market share and also from the investment coming to Pakistan from foreign country. The turn over for 2013 of Bulleh Shah was more than of Rs. 10 Billion and the Joint Venture is anticipating a significant increment in its creation limit of paperboard. The organization has its paperboard and corrugated packaging operations basically in Kasur, close Lahore. Over the years, the Company continued to enhance these facilities to meet the growing demands of packaging products. It is spread over 225 acres of land.
