Abstract
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) system is a built up geophysical system. The technique
uses radio waves to test "the ground" which implies on any low loss dielectric material.
In starting, GPR was basically associated with trademark geologic materials. GPR is
similarly very much connected to a large group of materials, for example, wood, cement,
and asphalt. The detection under collapsed is a developing field of GPR. In the recent
years, mechanical arrangements and dealing with methodologies have been made to
improve location precision and accelerate limitation. GPR can be helpful to handle such
crises. Improvement in the area of GPR has been considered in this report. All things were
considered for doing this. Earthquake and fallen structures are the circumstances that need
different GPR applications. In the past it was handled by preparing radargram, while the
variation in the Doppler frequency was introduces by physical movements of trapped, for
instance, respiration. The principle goal of this task is to rescue more & more number of
individuals from the adverse condition. Thus, GPR used to differentiate between the
couple of objects on the same elevation at different distance and also identify and locate
a human body and therefore possibly save number of lives and reduced number of deaths.
For the matching of antenna exponential tapering is done so that the antenna is matched
to the feed and better return loss is achieved. The return loss is less from -10dB and the
frequency band for the prototype is 0.5GHz to 1.5GHz. For avoiding the high cost issues
and to make portable device, worked on the miniaturization of helical antenna. The better
results are found between the range of 0.75GHz to 1.3GHz. Also select the modulator
(function generator) that gives input to VCO on 10 vpp for saw tooth, triangular and
sinusoidal waveforms. It operates from 1Hz to 1MHz.
