NISHAT MILLS

Abstract

I started my internship at NISHAT Mills which is located at Ferozpur Road on the 21st of July. NISHAT Mills is one of the most successful textile businesses in Pakistan. It was founded in 1951. The time duration of my internship was 6 weeks. I have worked in Human Resources Management in the Sweing unit. During my six-week internship at NISHAT Mills, I was privileged to gain valuable insights into the organization's operations and culture. My experience is both instructive and enriching. During my time at NISHAT Mills, I had the opportunity to work closely with different teams and departments, which gave me a comprehensive understanding of how the business works. From the very beginning, I was exposed to a dynamic and collaborative working environment. The orientation and introduction process was well organized, allowing me to quickly integrate into different groups and understand the company's core values. This smooth transition facilitated a smooth start to my internship. The management of NISHAT Mills has demonstrated a commendable level of professionalism and efficiency. Their structured approach to tasks, clear communication channels, and emphasis on teamwork contributed significantly to the overall success of the projects. The management team's dedication to fostering a collaborative environment has positively influenced the overall work atmosphere, facilitating coordination. By participating in daily tasks and projects, I have observed management's commitment to optimizing processes and ensuring employee well-being. This commitment is reflected in their willingness to provide guidance, provide constructive feedback, and encourage learning and growth. In addition, the management of NISHAT Mills has demonstrated a high sense of corporate responsibility, as evidenced by the company's efforts toward sustainable practices and community engagement. I stated its mission, vision statement, and historical background. The SWOT analysis is also mentioned in the report. The business strategies, HR strategies, and policies of the firm have been explained in the report. The pros and cons of the firm are also mentioned in the report. I have discussed my detailed experience in NISHAT as an internee. I have also written my recommendations about the policies, my problems encountered, and new knowledge.
