Consequently, several real estate prediction systems have been proposed in recent past. However, few research and development attempts have been carried out in this area in Pakistan. Furthermore, these systems can only provide a platform for real-estate prices and there is a dearth for prediction system in Pakistan. This research and development study address this research gap by proposing a real-estate price prediction system in Pakistan and for only big cities. Our research and development contribution in this area will be two-fold: (i) corpus generation and (ii) by applying state-of-the-art machine approaches to predict real estate prices.Item ClassX(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2022) Ibtasham Ali(FA18-BCS-206), Faseeh Ahmad ( FA18-BCS-055); Fareeha IftikharAlmost all real-life activities have been shifted to online mode due to the covid-19 pandemic. The closure of educational institutes has resulted in an unintentional shift to e-learning. The integration of information technology in the education sector has proved to be beneficial. Teachers and students have opted for several platforms such as blackboard learn, google classroom, MS Teams, etc. All these platforms have their pros and cons. Keeping in view the merits and demerits of the existing system we proposed a new system i.e., ClassX. This system will be more efficient and convenient. Our project aims to provide a completely online class management solution. Our system would enable the students and the instructors to experience the traditional classroom environment, promoting collaborative learning, improving social skills, building organisational skills, and shaping their career-building qualities.Item Smart System for Medical Expertise Assistance(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2021) Amina Islam; FA18-RCS-016; LHR TP 7596; Dr. Amjad AliThe computer-based techniques are more suitable for feature extraction, and classification. The proposed CAD (Computer Aided Diagnosis) system addresses the several steps such as preprocessing, feature extraction, and classification. Though many commercial CAD systems are available, identification of subtle signs for many diseases detection and classification remains difficult. The proposed system presents some advanced techniques in medical imaging to overcome these difficulties. The past decade has seen the growing popularity of Bag of Features (BoF) approaches to many computer vision tasks, including image classification, video search and texture recognition. BoF methods are based on order less collections of quantized local image descriptors; they discard spatial information and are therefore conceptually and computationally simpler than many alternative methods. Despite this, or perhaps because of this, BoF-based systems have set new performance standards on popular image classification benchmarks and have achieved scalability breakthroughs in image retrieval. Emphasis is placed on recent techniques that mitigate quantization errors, improve feature detection, and speed up image retrieval. Among the unresolved issues are determining the best techniques for sampling images, describing local image features, and evaluating system performance. Among the more fundamental challenges are how and whether BoF methods can contribute to localizing objects in complex images, or to associating high-level semantics with natural images.Item Business Processes Models Semiology Mapping using Domain Ontologies and Dictionaries(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2021) Laraib Mumtaz; FA18-RCS-001; LHR TP 7283; Dr. Abid Sohail BhuttaSemiotic mapping is the part of semantic quality of business processes. Semantic quality is crucial for business processes validation. It related to correctness and completeness of the business processes in problem domain. Semantic quality is concerned with semantic similarity measurement between two words and concepts. Semantic similarity is current area which is expanded widely, it attempts to calculate relatedness between words, ideas, sentences and documents. Comparability among two words is a proportion of the likeliness of their meanings, computed depends on the ideas and their relationships in ontology and taxonomy. In our research we applying some similarity measures on activity labels of model for improve the Model quality, Model matching, Model validation and it can help in generation of process models. We applying the WordNet based similarity measures between Activity labels of process models and extracted Activity labels from textual description of process models. In this research we conduct the semiology mapping of syntactic/string based and semantic based. In syntactic similarity we conduct the term based similarity in which we apply the Cosine similarity and in semantic similarity we conduct the knowledge based similarity that consists of relatedness and similarity measures. We only applying the similarity measures that consists of path length. Path length consists of WUP and path. We proposed to use cosine WUP and path similarity measures on labels for semiology mapping.Item Feasibility Test of mm-wave in Futuristic Wireless Applications(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2021) Muhammad Zaman Aslam; FA18-RCS-030; LHR TP 7294; Dr. Amjad AliIn the growth of technology and increasing demands of data intensive applications in terms of high throughput and low latency explains the evolution of telecommunication network standards. The next fifth generation wireless networks will satisfy the increasing demands of data hungry applications like (autonomous vehicles, drones, augmented and virtual reality etc.) also introduces itself with exciting new features.5G has emerged with exciting new applications and features because of high data rate and low latency support. Mm-wave is one of the strong candidate to support 5G wireless communications. This study will figure out that: are mm-waves are able to support high data rates during the mobility of low/moderate/high velocity of users. Also time critical applications i.e. drones, autonomous vehicles support high data rates and low latency. This will be done with the help of simulation tool. Network Simulator-3 (NS3) simulation tool will be used for the representation of facts and figures. This work will open new ways for future 6G research.Item Formal Modeling and Comparative Performance Evaluation of Routing Protocols in VANETs(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2020) Fida Ur Rehman; SP18-RCS-031; LHR TP 6406; Dr. Muhammad Tayyab ChaudharyVehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) emerged as new generation ad-hoc networks in which network is implemented between moving vehicles on road that equipped with embedded wireless sensors and all wireless communication capabilities. Due to the high and constrained mobility of vehicles there are lots of new data communication and routing challenges in VANET as we compared to MANET. The routing protocols have to be modified or needs various additions when we move MANET to VANET to make them acceptable for VANETs scenarios. The transmission reactive protocols adhoc OnDemand distance vector and Dynamic Source Routing that supports unicast and multicast routing are designed for VANETs to transmit data and discover routes to destination for a node when they have packets for transmission. For the successful application of VANETS, the important thing to ensure that routing protocol is complete unambiguous and functionally correct. For ensuring correctness of existing routing protocol one approach is to create formal model and analyze that model to determine if protocol provides defined service correctly or not. Formal modeling gives a framework to model, analysis of constrained & distributed systems through CPNs to check reliability and consistency of a system. In this research, initially we study the differences in architecture and attributes by varying the speed of vehicles of AODV and DSR routing protocols. Then we will model these protocols through formal modeling and specification using Coloured Petri Nets Tool and compare different metrics like packets delivery ratio, workload and delay in network discovery to evaluate performances with respect to the throughput.Item VN_MANAGEMENT(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2026) Tahir Mahmood (FA18- BSE-059), Hanzala (FA18- BSE-037), Maheen Lodhi (FA18- BSE-011); Abdul QayyumCOVID-19 pandemic disturbed the routine of the whole world. Due to this pandemic, most organizations had to stop their office activities. People became aware of the phenomena of working from home. They are facing an issue related to resources security and sharing which are key features of working inside an organization network. So, we have an idea to provide the solution to such organizations working from home and need their resources secure and shared easily. We can create a Virtual Network so everyone connected to that network can access the resources securely and even share data as we do on physical networks. The difference is one does not have to be inside the organization to access resources. So, for the management of this Virtual Network, we will develop a web-based interface. The web-based interface will consist of Organization management, Users Management, Server management, and monitoring, etc.
