Item Factors Affecting The Employees Job Satisfaction(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2020) Tauseef Raza; SP18-RBA-008; Haroon Rashid; LHR TP 5685Textile sector is one of the oldest and largest export industries in the world (Dhiman, 2016). Textile sector has been expanding speedily from the early 1970’s and providing millions of employment to the workers (Saheed, 2011).The top ten textile exporters of the world are China, India, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Serbia, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Taiwan (Patrick, 2006).Global Textile and Apparel Trade in 2017 was US$750 billion (Wazir, 2018). The global apparel market is expected to grow with amount of US$ 2.6 trillion in 2025 with the rate of growth 4% per annum (Kumar, 2018). The major driver of textile such as China and India will grow in that market with expected amount of US$ 378 billion and US$ 121 respectively in 2025, because top textile countries uses latest technology, understand the Stakeholder needs and produce efficiently with low production cost and enjoy economic of scale (Noor, 2017).Textile sector around the world has been facing a serious problem, that is employees jobs dissatisfaction and turnover rate (Nurul, 2018). According to the study of Global Workforce, the employee turnover rate has continuously increased, because majority of employees working in private sector always hope to switch their current job to another job within two year therefore turnover rate is recorded 36% in year 2015 as compared to 29% in year 2012 (Willis, 2015). The continuous high jobs dissatisfaction is not a good sign to the organization; it affects organization’s costs, employee morale that stays in the organization, increase turnover rate and weak performance.Item Role of Emotional Intelligence on Project Success along with the mediating role of Job Satisfaction and Trust(Library Informtion Services, CUI Lahore, 2019) Syed Sajjad Ahmad Bilgrami; CIIT/FA17-RPM-001/LHR; Dr. Muhammad Usman; LHR TP 5704Number of projects are increasing exponentially every year. Although organizations put a lot of effort in making the project a successful in order to gain financial, economic and organizational growth. So a successful project can boost morale within organization along with the substantial financial growth and customer’s satisfaction. But often the execution of project faces failure. There are lot of factors involved in the failure of projects which includes the hard skill i.e. technical and the soft skill i.e. emotional intelligence, leadership etc. But recent researchers are pointing to the importance of soft skill to make a project successful. This research used a quantitative approach to comprehend how soft skill i.e. emotional intelligence (EI) of manager plays part in project success. In this study a model associating emotional intelligence to project success was tested and the mediating effects of two work attitudes i.e. job satisfaction and trust was examined on this association. The quantitative facts were gather from 286 managerial persons involved in construction firms of Lahore. Statistical tests shows that there is a positive association between EI and project success. Also this relationship is partially mediated by Job Satisfaction and Trust variables. This study will help the organizations to select a suitable candidate having high emotional intelligence in order to make the project successful. Also this study shows organizations that having high job satisfaction and trust among the team members will significantly affect the success of the project. As far as theoretical aspect, it fulfill the need of testing and validating the relationship of EI and project success along with the mediating effect of work attitudes i.e. Job Satisfaction and Trust. Key Words: Emotional Intelligence, Job Satisfaction, Project Success, TrustItem Impact of Ethical Work Climate on Employees’ Work Related Outcomes (Job Satisfaction, Turnover Intention and Employee Creativity): Mediating Role of Organizational Identification(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, 2016-02-03) Darakhshan Khan; FA12-MSMS-006; LHR TP 4360; Dr. Asma ImranThe conducted study has investigated the influence of ethical work climate of organizations on the work related outcomes of employees which are job satisfaction, turnover intention and creativity of employees, either directly or indirectly through a mediating impact of organizational identification. This study explains about organizational identification experienced by sales employees due to the existence of an ethical work climate in an organization that may result in higher satisfaction of employees with their jobs, low level of turnover intention and greater employee creativity. It is a relatively new perspective in terms of Pakistan’s Cellular Telecommunication industry but not anonymous. Data is collected by survey method from a sample of 273 sales employees, who are randomly selected and employed in telecommunication companies of the Lahore city. Multiple regression analysis by Baron and Kenny (1986) was used for mediation analysis. According to the results it has been observed that organizational identification partially mediated between ethical work climate and job satisfaction; partially mediated between ethical work climate and turnover intention; partially mediated between ethical work climate and employee creativity. Academically, this study provides a perspective to highlight relationship between ethical work climate and employees’ work related outcomes (job satisfaction, turnover intention and employee creativity). The study is specific to telecom sector of Lahore city of Pakistan and is based on small sample size. Consequently, results cannot be generalized to larger populations within telecom sector or over other business sectors. However, the study opens grounds for future research opportunities in all business sectors and is significant to management and scholarsItem The Impact of Employee Psychological Empowerment on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment “Moderating role of Self-Leadership”(Library Informtion Services, CUI lahore, 2017) Seerat Fatima; CIIT/FA15-RMS-003/ LHR; Dr. Zafar-uz-Zaman Anjum; LHR TP 4863The purpose of this study is to examine psychological empowerment impact on the employee job satisfaction and organization commitment with the moderating effect of employee self-leadership among employees working in banking sector of Lahore, Pakistan. In this study we have used convenient sampling technique for the purpose of data collection from 250 employees working in different banks of Lahore. Self administered questionnaire were distributed among respondents by using non probability sampling technique. The purpose of this research is to find out the mechanism by which employee’s organization commitment and job satisfaction could be raised among employees working in the banks. In addition to this, it was also aimed to answer various calls for future research present in the previous literature. Findings of this study indicate that psychological empowerment has positive impact on employee organization commitment and job satisfaction. In addition to this, in this study the moderating effect of self-leadership has strengthened the relationship between P.E and outcome variables i.e organization commitment and job satisfaction.Item The Effects of Perceptions of Organizational Politics (POP) on Employee Attitudes and Behaviors: The Moderating Role of Emotional Intelligence.(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, 2013-02-02) Muhammad Kashif Luqman; FA11-MSMS-041; Dr. Faisal Tehseen Shah; LHR TP 4420The current study is an inquiry into perceptions of telecom sector employee of Pakistan towards organizational politics and its impact on their attitudes and behaviors. The effects of three dimensions of Perceived Organizational Politics (POP), named as General Political Behavior (GPB), Go Along to Get Ahead (GAGA) and Pay and Promotion Policies (PPP), on attitudinal and behavioral outcomes of employees was assessed in detail. The moderating role of Emotional Intelligence will be evaluated in afore-mentioned relationship. A well-structured questionnaire was employed to collect data from 190 employees of five large multi-nationals currently operating in Pakistan. Several statistical tools such as one-way ANOVA, Hierarchical Moderated Regression, Correlations, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Graphical presentation of Interaction terms and simple slope tests were performed to analyze the data. The moderating role of Emotional Intelligence is proved between two of the POP dimensions (GPB and GAGA). The study findings also provide detailed understanding regarding distinguishing roles of three dimensions of organizational politics on employee attitudes and behaviors. The study provides clear guidelines for policy makers in telecom sector to devise such policies that may curb the negative impacts of politics and provide emotional training to employees in this regard.
