The rapid and significant advances in technology provide the potential to enhance human living, but there are also questions about the future. One of the big worries about new technology is that robots and artificial intelligence will replace the human element in the work that leads to "technological unemployment." it's not the first time that people are facing a threat to their jobs from technological innovation. Similar fears had arisen in the nineteenth and twentieth century’s, when another significant wave of technological transition occurred, but they were not proven correct; technological developments of these centuries eventually led to the creation of new employment that had fully compensated for the consequences of the implementation of new job-saving technologies. In the 4th industrial revolution which began in Europe and the United States, the fear that automation and digitalization will lead to "Ending of Jobs" is reawakening. The feasibility of human element substituting "creative accident." computers and robots has been the topic of a number of reports with considerable debate.Item A Comparative Study of Tenure Track System and a Basic Pay Scale System of Academic Professional Working in Public Universities of Pakistan Challenges and a Way Forward(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2022) Wajeeha Muzaffar Hashmi; FA20-RMS-005; LHR TP 8130; Dr. Rana Nadir IdreesThe Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has introduced many productive schemes to ensure that higher education maintains its high standards of quality and excellence (Khan & Jabeen, 2011). The research creates gaps because the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Technology Organization Environment (TOE), and Resource Dependency Theory (RDT) have been incorporated into the study. It provides a holistic explanation of the issues of digital adoption. The published literature on the topic (2021-2025) has been reviewed thematically to disclose that there are three groups of major determinants: • Behavioral factors (TAM): The ones that have a significant impact on the intentions to adopt are the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived managerial awareness. • Organizational/technological preparedness (TOE): low digital skills, inadequate infrastructure, and finances are barriers to the adoption. • Environmental/resource/pressures (RDT): environmental pressures on the competitor, customer expectations, government support, and dependence on external vendors are factors that impact the adoption decision. • This has been mentioned as one of the significant gaps where there are no Pakistani studies that incorporate TAM, TOE, and RDT, and thus, a requirement to incorporate the structures of these in the forthcoming research. The project suggests capacity-building initiatives, improved organizational planning, and policy support to enhance SME digital preparedness. Overall, the study provides a systematic context for research on SME transformation in the digital age and paves the way for future phases of empirical research.Item A project report on the Development of an online shopping store(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2020) Abdul jabbar; Fa17-BBA-107; Naila Adil; LHR TP 6647E-commerce is fast gaining a prominent position as a suitable and useful model for business enterprise.
