Item Efficacy of the Integrated Model of Reminiscence, Acceptance and Commitment, and Transcendental Therapies in Institutionalized Older Adults(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2025) Mahnoor; CIIT/FA23-RCP-008/LHR; Dr. Maryam Amjad; LHR TP 9717Geriatric population carries several physical as well as emotional problems that require special attention by not only their own families but also for many professionals around. This study investigated the effectiveness of Reminiscence Therapy (RT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Transcendental Therapy (TT) on the psychological well-being of the institutionalized geriatric population. Twenty older adults institutionalized in old-age homes were recruited through convenience sampling from an old-age home in Lahore (M=10; 10=F). The Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS- 21; Aslam & Kamal, 2017) and the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (WEMWBS; Tennant et al., 2007) were administered for pre- and post-assessment. The intervention phase consisted of 8 group sessions, along with four individual sessions. The results revealed significant differences in depression, stress, anxiety, and mental well-being between pre- and post-assessment for the participants. This study highlights the significant implications of providing specialized psychological care in the region's increasingly established old care homes, where individualistic culture is being replaced with the collectivistic culture.
