(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2024) Hamza Hasan; FA21-RPM-003; Dr. Javeria Fatima; LHR TP 9418
The purpose of this research is to investigate the moderating role of absorptive capacity in the relationship between technological resources and organizational resilience. A quantitative research approach was employed with data collected from 251 respondents working in the software industry in Lahore using a structured questionnaire. The questionnaire included measures of technological resources, organizational resilience, and absorptive capacity. The data collected was analyzed by using Simple Regression Model and CFA analysis to examine the hypothesized relationships. The findings suggest that technological resources have a significant positive impact on both organizational resilience and absorptive capacity. Additionally, absorptive capacity had a significant positive impact on technological resources, and organizational resources. These results support the existing literature that absorptive capacity enhances an organization’s ability to leverage technological resources for resilience by allowing it to anticipate, understand, and respond to changes and disruptions in the environment. It acts as a bridge between the possessing technological resources and using them effectively in the face of challenges. The implications of this research are twofold, firstly it confirms that absorptive capacity is crucial for organizations, as they can use this knowledge to develop can leverage these technological resources to improve communication, streamline processes, and develop new products or services that meet changing market demands. This capability enables organizations to stay abreast of technological advancements and integrate them into their operations, thus maintaining a competitive edge.

Nexus Between Green Intellectual Capital and Sustainable Performance Through Green Investments Under the Effect of Green Dynamic Capabilities
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2023) Hajra Noor; FA21-RMS-001; Dr Sadaf Ehsan
Drawing on Resource base theory this study explores the mediating effect of Green Investments on relationship of Green IC and Sustainability with the moderating role of Green Dynamic Capabilities. Data for hypothesis testing were collected from 250 managerial level employees of the manufacturing SMEs in Lahore through a questionnaire survey. A quantitative approach based on SPSS AMOS analysis and the Hayes Process Macro Model is applied. The results of the analysis indicate that Green Intellectual Capital has a significant and positive impact on SMEs' ability to perform sustainably. This finding supports the notion that effective management of Green Intellectual Capital, which encompasses knowledge, trust-building, and communication channels, is essential for SMEs to ensure sustainable performance. Also, findings indicate that Green Investments play a mediating role in the relationship between Green IC and Sustainable Performance. This suggests that Green Investments act as a catalyst, leveraging the resources and capabilities derived from Green Intellectual Capital to enhance sustainable performance in SMEs. Additionally, the study finds that Green Dynamic Capabilities moderate the link between Green IC and sustainability. This implies that the effectiveness of Green IC in driving sustainable performance is contingent upon the presence of strong Green Dynamic Capabilities within SMEs. The findings of this study contribute to the existing literature by shedding light on the mediating role of Green Investments and the moderating effect of Green Dynamic Capabilities; an aspect not extensively addressed in existing literature. The study provides valuable insights for SMEs seeking to improve their sustainability performance and offers recommendations for the effective management of ecological resources and capabilities. Conclusively, this research contributes to the understanding of how SMEs can achieve sustainability by harnessing their Green Intellectual Capital, leveraging Green Investments, and developing strong Green Dynamic Capabilities. It highlights the importance of incorporating environmentally friendly practices and capabilities into SMEs' strategic initiatives to drive sustainable performance and thrive in the green economy.

Discovering the Impact of Employee Envy on Career Success in Pakistan's IT Sector: The Role of Employee Engagement and Servant Leadership
(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, 2023-02-09) Hafiz Junaid Khalil; FA21-RBA-008; Dr. Fahmeed Idrees; LHR TP 8741
Literature dominantly studies the relationship of positive emotions with positive behaviors and positive work-related outcomes and largely ignores how negative emotions influence individual and organizational outcomes. More specifically, this study examines how negative emotions such as employee envy influence individual career success directly and indirectly. This study explores the complex relationships between employee envy, employee engagement, career success, and servant leadership. Based on affective event theory, this study examines whether employee envy (malicious and benign) positively affects career success (career commitment and career satisfaction) using employee engagement as a mediator and servant leadership as a moderator. Based on the affective event theory, this study employs structural equation modeling techniques to explore relationships between employee envy (benign and malicious), employee engagement at work, and career success. We further extend this study by examining the moderating effects of servant leadership on employee envy (benign and malicious) on career success mediated by employee engagement at work. A cross-sectional research design with a survey approach is adapted to collect data from information technology (IT) professionals from the software development companies. This study employs structural equation modeling techniques to analyze the complex relationships between employee envy (benign and malicious) and career success, where servant leadership is a moderating variable. Results of this study show that employee engagement mediates employee envy (benign and malicious) positively and negatively with career success (career satisfaction and career commitment). Further, servant leadership strengthens the relationships between employee envy (benign) and employee engagement while it dampens the negative relationships between malicious envy and employee x engagement. This study benefits organizations and human resources professionals in devising policies and practices to address emerging issues of employee envy to retain the best talent and maintain their performance at optimal levels that contribute towards employee career success and organizational growth.

(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2023) Sana Zubai; FA21-RBA-022; Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah
The project entails a diagnostic study of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL). Overall operations and departments of PTCL are being studied and analyzed with marketing and commercial department in particular. Marketing department is a key for any organization especially that of PTCL scope and profile. PTCL has enjoyed a freedom for more than 5 decades to rule the telecom market. But now there are other companies coming into view that are challenging PTCL and taking up their market share. People have something to compare the internet services of PTCL with other companies and general perception of PTCL internet services are not good as can be observed from public feedback on social media. The project is done in order to diagnose either PTCL is just not good enough to compete with the new companies or there is a lack of relationship between PTCL and general public which has caused the perception of PTCL to go down.
