Item Green Supply Chain Management Practices, Responsive Strategy, and Supply Chain Performance: Mediation of Absorptive Capacity(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2018) TAQUREER HYDER; FA16-RMS-013; Dr. Imran Shafique; LHR TP 5205The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of GSCM practices and responsive strategy on supply chain performance. Further, absorptive capacity mediates this relationship. Stakeholder and information processing theories are employed to build this relationship. Data has been collected from 57 textile organizations. Partial least square of structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) is employed through Warp PLS 5.0. Results reveal that GSCM practices directly affect the supply chain performance. Absorptive capacity shows fully meditation among GSCM practices, responsive strategy and supply chain performance.Item Analyzing the Impact of Digitalization on Sustainable Supply Chain Management: A Case study of Asea Brown Boveri (ABB)(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2023) Asad Jamil; SP21-RBA-110; Kashif LuqmanThis project aims to investigate the effects of digitalization on sustainable supply chain management using the example of Asea Brown Boveri (ABB). The project begins with an introduction to ABB, a leader in automation and power technology on a global scale, and offers a summary of their supply chain activities. The problem statement explain the significant supply chain problems that ABB was experiencing before adopting the digitalization. This study examines the ideas of digitization and sustainable supply chain management, focusing on their interactions and the advantages they may provide. Literature review gives the understand between digitalization and supply chain management. This study includes research papers, interviews case studies and company annual report that provide a comprehensive view to understand the issues. The supply chain manager at ABB was interviewed as part of the methodology used for this study to learn more about their supply chain's performance and sustainability as a result of their digitization effects. The project's findings show how digitalization has significantly impact on ABB's supply chain, resulting in improved responsiveness, efficiency, and transparency. By implementing digital technologies, ABB has been able to improve supplier and customer collaboration, expedite logistical procedures, and manage inventories more effectively. It also impact its sustainability objectives, which include minimizing its negative environmental impact and increased social responsibility. The study also indicates some negative aspects as well including, problem about data security and privacy, resistance to change, and the need for skilled worker adaption. To ensure the effective implementation and sustainability of digitization projects, proper proactive strategies needed.Item Supply Chain Management Practices in Telecommunication Industry(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2022) Abdul Qadeer; FA21-RBA-017; LHR TP 8123; Shahbaz AhmadThis project has been conducted to investigate the depth of supply chain management in telecommunication industry. It is exploring that how telecom, as a service provider, managing and distributing its services and products all over to their customers. The aim of this project report is to fetch out the maximum knowledge about SCM in Telecom industry. To target the aim of this study, a lot of researches and references have been used. Apart from that a lot of challenges and risks have been identified and suggested their solutions and recommendations in the present study. The study majorly based on secondary research. With the support of research references including articles, websites, blogs, interviews and distinct reports in figures this project report has been examined the definition, significance, benefits, sustainability affects, challenges, risks, solutions and recommendations of the supply chain management in telecommunication industry. Analysis of the study reconnoiters that the telecommunication sector expanding aggressively with passage of time due to advanced technology and modern modes of communication. This acceleration has creating more tough competition and stress to its supply chain management. In the most advanced and rapid growing world, the challenges and risks include the market dynamics, need for agility, competition, unexpected delays, financial risks, environment risks, inflation and demand uncertainty. To handle these challenges and risks, the solutions and recommendations together with alternative suppliers, closely tracking inventory systems, Stocking when prices gets down, and engage customers for feedback.
