Item Impact of transformational leadership style on project success: The mediating role of team-building between transformational leadership and project success(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2018) Ayyaz Anjum; CIIT/SP14-MSPM-008/LHR; Dr. Muhammad Usman; LHR TP 4854Impact of transformational leadership on project success has empirically approved, but how this mechanism has the influence on project success is not known well. This research thesis determines the mechanism that how transformational leadership affects the project success and how team building mediates the relationship and enhances the influence of transformational leadership on project success. This study also determines the effect of transformational leadership on team building practices. To examine the mediation of team building between transformational leadership (IV) and project success (DV), data was collected from 209 project team members of information technology (IT) and construction sector. For empirical analysis, Baron and Kenny (1986) mediation method is used with hierarchal multiple regression. The legitimacy of team building mediation is further confirmed by the Sobel’s (1982) test. The results of hierarchal multiple regression (HMR) confirms that transformational leadership (IV) positively influence project success (DV) and team building partially mediates the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Theoretical and practical effects of these outcomes are also discussed in this research thesis.Item Impact of Perceived Organizational Support and Perceived Supervisor Support on In-Role and Extra Role Performance through Mediating Effect of Employee Engagement(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2017) Mehvish Rafiq; SP15-MBO-012; Dr. Zafar-Uz-Zaman Anjum; LHR TP 6829In general, it is believed that employee is a main part of any organization. Moreover, engagement of employee mediates that of the link between perceived organizational support, supervisor support and in-role and extra-role performance. The effects of these findings on the banking sector are discuss in detail in the studyItem Consumer Motivations In Purchasing Organic Food: …(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, 2018-02-04) TAHIR MUKHTAR; FA16-RBA-008; LHR TP 6995According to (katsarova 2015) organic food is growing worldwide despite of crises in economic conditions and its consumption is increased day by day in last years. In 2013 sale of organic foods is cross $66 billion across the globe. Organic food products are becoming popular. The main purpose of this study is to determine the benefits of organic food products on health. Due to the fact that little range of studies work the association of organic diet with health exists, different studies also are represented here so as to help within the development of the study style of the children’s intervention study which is able to be enforced later within the project (effect of organic diet on pesticides metabolites, association of pesticides and different environmental pollutants with health biomarkers, impact of short diet/exercise interventions on health biomarkers). Organic food is produced when we use the practices of organic agriculture in which no pesticides are used. It reduced the various cancer forms and other dieses that occurs when we consume conventional food. Organic produce plays dual role in society, first they respond to the organic demand of consumers and second they protect the environment and animal welfare or it also plays an important role in the development of rural areas. Organic food production makes it possible to maintain fertility of soil in long-term. Organic practices use less natural resources which make it more environment friendly. While this sector covers a small portion of market in Lahore Pakistan but it increases slightly with the time and its awareness level.Item The Impact of Operations Dimensions on Retail (A case study of "Hyperstar")(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, 2018-02-04) ZOHAIB MUNIR; FA16-RBA-012; MR. Number of Investment alternatives have been discovered in the recent past era but there is doubt in an investors mind that are these alternative investment classes are sound enough to replicate the traditional asset classes return and provide greater value to the investor. Whether this greater value comes in the form of Diversification benefit and reduction in the standard deviation. Are these new Asset classes are equally good in terms of Risk and Return and other benefits. So this study is dedicated to this issue there is an effort to decide are these alternative asset classes in the form of Commodity futures provide value to the investor. There are several benefits associated with Commodity futures investments as identified by various researcher and academics in the past. Moreover there is resurgence of Commodity Futures market in the especially after 1980’s which is an indication that commodity futures is somewhat capable to entice the investors. The benefits associated with the Commodity Futures investment are Equity like return, low correlation with the Equities i.e. diversification power, Inflation hedging, Better risk adjusted returns and much more. This study is dedicated to validate these benefits in context of Pakistan. This study contains the comparison of Risk and return characteristics of KSE-100 index (Equities) and Pmex index (Commodity Futures) in Pakistan along with some touch of individual Commodity futures contract and some internationally traded Commodity futures contract. Study also contains some deciding factors such as Sharp ratio. Results confirms the following facts first of all Commodity futures market in Pakistan provides better return as compared to Equities. Secondly there is low correlation between Pmex index and Equity index in Pakistan so this is the confirmation of the diversification potential in Commodity Futures and finally our Garch results confirms that there is presence of long memory and phenomenon of Volatility clustering in the Pmex index and KSe-100 index we have also predict the variances of these indices for the futureItem Service Quality and the Moderating Effect of Shari’ah Perception on Client Satisfaction; A Comparison of Islamic and Conventional Microcredit in Pakistan(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, 2016-02-04) Sarah Khan; SP14-MBO-010; DR.Waheed Akhter; LHR TP 4372Microcredit is emerging concept which is precisely working well to reduce poverty as well as improving socioeconomic status after accessing microcredit by clients. Akhuwat and Kashf are taken for Islamic microfinance institutions while Rural Community Development Society and Development Action for Mobilization and Emancipation are taken for conventional microfinance institutions, representing the microcredit of microfinance sector in Pakistan. The comparison is done between Islamic and conventional microcredits from Islamic and conventional microfinance institutions. The correlation, regression, ANOVA and interaction test is used for testing the relationship of Shari’ah perception as moderator among service quality and client satisfaction. The findings show the significant positive association between service quality, Shari’ah perception and client satisfaction for both Islamic and conventional microfinance institutions while there is significant moderating effect of Shari’ah perception between service quality and client satisfaction for both clients of Islamic and conventional microcredit. The result also shows that the determinants are highly significant. On the basis of interest perception, Islamic microfinance institution can capture more clients from conventional microfinance institutions because their clients don’t consider interest good for wellbeing or else, conventional microfinance institutions should open window for Islamic microcredit to compete in market.Item To analyze the impact of E-Service Quality and trust propensity on consumers Repurchase Intention with mediating role of satisfaction in E-Commerce(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, 2014-02-04) Raheela Mughal; SP14-MSPM-032; Dr. Faisal Tehseen Shah; LHR TP 4358Today world e-commerce is included in every field. Information and risk management, along with other safety measures are necessary to be taken to run a successful business. Information System performs such important technology activities; therefore every large and small organization at one point needs a well-structured IS according to the requirement of the functions for daily operations, such as, for the purpose of transaction in order to keep the track or increase in productivity, advance quality, cut cost and enhance competitive advantage (Fok et al, 2000; Mathieson and Wharton, 1993). Enterprise Resource Planning, Decision Support system, Transaction process system, Quality performance management system, Management Information System and Supply Chain Management System are some of the examples of most common Information system projects. Alter S, (2008) defines Information System as the group of components that interact to produce information, (five components: hardware, software, data, procedure and people). The large amount of data demands a proper work system that not only manages but which also distributes the needed information at certain level in an organization. Information system is an organized system that performs the functions of collection, organization, storage and communication of information. The combination of software, hardware, data, people and procedure produces quality information
