Item Exploring the moderating role of mindfulness in the relationship between abusive supervision, psychological contract breach, and the leader-member exchange quality(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2024) Mukashaf Shahzadi; SP23-RMS-004; Dr.Tamania Khan; LHR TP 9619This study investigates the moderating effect of mindfulness on the relationship between abusive supervision and leader-member exchange (LMX) quality, with psychological contract breach as a mediator grounded in Affective Events Theory. Collection of data was made through a survey distributed to 249 call center employees in Lahore, SPSS was used for analysis, including descriptive, reliability, correlation, and Harman’s one-factor analysis. The findings of this study show that psychological contract breach negatively affects LMX quality, and mindfulness moderates the indirect effect of abusive supervision on LMX through psychological contract breach. These results contribute significant insights into workplace dynamics, focusing on the importance of mindfulness in reducing negative impacts. The study illustrates the significance of leadership’s role in employees’ relational outcomes. Limitations include a cross-sectional design and snowball sampling, which may affect generalizabilityItem The impact of Abusive Supervision on Employee Creativity: The Mediating Role of Job Stress(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamaabad Lahore Campus, 2020) Summyia Gull; FA18-RMS-013; Dr. Imran Shafique; LHR TP 6055The present study investigates the procedure through which abusive supervision impacts employees’ creativity. Specifically, this study tests the relationship between abusive supervision employees’ creativity directly and through employees job stress as mediating mechanism. To establish the relationship of the variables, conservation of resource theory is used in this study. Abusive supervision could similarly be seen as harmful type of relationship conflict, which has seen as unfavorable to the creativity of employees (Bai et al, 2016). Most of the time abusive supervision effects mental health of the employees also. It is found that stress always drive from the pressure that managers put on employee. But some pressure is good for the employees so that they can perform well in the organization but forcing them too hard can cause serious issues, such as bad performance, low creativity and high turnover (HBR, 2019). We have tested these hypotheses on data collected from 180 private school teachers through questionnaire in Lahore. The findings support our hypotheses and mediation model. To analyze the relationship convenience sampling technique is used. Confirmatory factor analysis used for reliability and convergent validity and discriminant validity test used for validity then correlation and regression analysis.
