Through attaining knowledge and honing skills, students are able to explore untested aspects of real life with confidence and power. As a part of my Media and Communication Studies degree, I undertook an internship at Media Hub Productions. This paper is a reflection of my primary hands-on experience. During my internship, I was fortunate enough to acquire priceless experience working in multiple departments at Media Hub Productions. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work at the Media Hub. This was my first experience of being part of an organization. It took me a bit of time to adjust to the culture and environment, but with the assistance of my colleagues and supervisor, I adapted quickly. The regular staff meetings provided me with the necessary information. This report provides readers with an understanding of the history, mission, vision, office locations, main offices, and employee numbers of Media Hub Productions. It then outlines the department's activities and the tasks that I was assigned while interning there. It has been an incredible privilege for me to complete an internship at Discover Pakistan, the only HD television channel of Pakistan. In this report I share my experiences and the training received during a six-week period spanning 17th July 2023 and 31st August 2023. Also provided herein is an overview of Discover Pakistan which covers its organizational structure, departments, internship plan, acknowledgments program and training program. My reflective journals detail my daily tasks and schedule. In particular, they highlight working in different departments such as 3D modeling, VFX and environment design. Furthermore, this report details the production process for programs like 'The Morning Show' from pre-production through post-production stages. Working at Discover Pakistan has allowed me to expand my skills in areas like 3D modeling, VFX and environment design through hands-on experience. My mentor Asim Butt provided invaluable guidance regarding quality standards, workload management and other industry aspects. In addition to developing technical abilities, it was fascinating witnessing the collaborative work culture and pace of creative industry work environments. SWOT analysis highlights an organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats based on my observations. Critical analysis compares my theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the field; work samples have also been included as part of this analysis. Finally, recommendations were offered while summarizing key learnings, skills, and future plans.Item MARSHMALLOW(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2023) Amna Malik; FA20-BMC-043; Maam Ayesha Mirza; LHR TP 0000This report provides an overview of my six-week internship at Marshmallow advertising agency Lahore, a full-service advertising agency that collaborates with brands worldwide. During my internship, I worked in various departments to gain practical experience and understand their significance and interconnection. As I aspire to pursue a career in social media, I worked in the Social Media Management department to improve my writing skills and in the Art department to learn design skills using Photoshop. I also worked in the Digital department to learn about strategies for platforms like Facebook and Instagram, while the Client Service department taught me about their crucial role in advertising agencies. Additionally, I learned editing skills in the Production department and important industry terms in the Media department. I worked on various tasks, including creating an annual calendar for Master Bus Service, conducting research for documentaries and campaigns, and designing posts to persuade a new client, Nisa Beauty. This internship provided me with valuable skill sets and insights into how advertising agencies operate, helping me pursue my passion for social media as a future career.
