Collected the data from frontline employees of amusement family parks, indoor play lands etc.from Lahore & Rawalpindi regions of Pakistan. We used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) to test the purposed associations. Outcomes recommend that job embeddedness mediates the impact of high-performance work practices on turnover intentions and did not mediate the impact of work social support on turnover intentions of frontline employees in amusement sector of Pakistan. Particularly, frontline employees with high-performance work practices are extra embedded in their jobs and organizations, and consequently unlikely to exhibit turnover intention. This purposed research endorses that high performance work practices (empowerment, training, and rewards) influence turnover intentions via job embeddedness. Hence, high performance work practices embed frontline employees of amusement sector in their jobs, and they are unlikely to demonstrate turnover intentions. Additionally work social support must be practiced in direction to sustain a healthy atmosphere where employees are able to improve their job embeddedness. This purposed research enhances the boy of existing literature by exploring the antecedents of job embeddedness. This investigation also enlarges the existing knowledge by inspecting mediation role of job embeddedness between the associations of high-performance work practices, work social support with turnover intentions by collecting the data from frontline employees of amusement sector in a non-Western country Pakistan.Item Impact of Ethical Work Climate on Employees’ Work Related Outcomes (Job Satisfaction, Turnover Intention and Employee Creativity): Mediating Role of Organizational Identification(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamabad Lahore Campus, 2016-02-03) Darakhshan Khan; FA12-MSMS-006; LHR TP 4360; Dr. Asma ImranThe conducted study has investigated the influence of ethical work climate of organizations on the work related outcomes of employees which are job satisfaction, turnover intention and creativity of employees, either directly or indirectly through a mediating impact of organizational identification. The study aims on two objectives. Firstly, the study focused on impact of perceived quality relationship of subordinate’s leader member exchange with their supervisor/manager on performance proxies such as affective commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, intention to leave and mastery orientation. Secondly, it examines the moderating role of perceived social powers (Positives and negatives) in LMX and performance proxies’ relationship. The study has opted quantitative approach, by collecting questionnaires from cellular Mobile companies licensed under Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and different Textile companies listed on All Pakistan Textile Mills Association. The data of 295 was collected from middle managers. The paper provides empirical insight on how positive and negative social powers moderates the relationship between LMX and Performance proxies. Social powers have shown to moderate the relationship between LMX and performance proxies. Firstly, as it was a cross sectional study, the biasness could have cause to change some of the relationships. Secondly, the study has focused on two of the sectors. Therefore, the proposed hypotheses are encouraged to be tested in different sectors. The current has concluded implications for the manager, who needs to focus on LMX to improve employee performance at work place. Leaders/Managers/supervisors need to understand which social powers have positive impact on LMX and performance. This would help them to improve their satisfaction level and keep them more motivated at workplace, thus they will less likely to leave the organizations.Item Innovative Work Behavior in Software Houses of Pakistan: The Role of Knowledge Sharing and Ethical Behaviors(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamaabad Lahore Campus, 2020) Zeeshan Ahmad; FA18-RMS-006; Dr. Asma Imran; LHR TP 6053Now a day, Innovation in services, processes and products are becoming a need of private organizations for long term survival in the market and for the grow of organization this competitive environment. Rising geopolitical challenges, increase in population and growing companies form a stress on the power sector that lacks the ability to meet requirements of electricity in the country. This results in electricity cuts at certain times during the day. Due to these electricity cuts private industries/firms has suffered a lot in terms of their production, as a result different firms and households started self generation in order to cover supplied electricity deficiency. For continuous and economical supply of electricity private industries started installing their own thermal power plants. Gas, Diesel/H.F.O and coal fired are the types of power plants that were installed and still being installed by private industries of Pakistan. At beginning these power plants were installed without proper management and well defined performance indicators but with the increase in technology complexities, growth of industries to international level, international health and safety environment (HSE) rules and increase in power demand these power plants began to become a failure without proper management and well defined performance indicators. So, Industries had to shutdown large number of power plants as they were non profitable and not fulfilling the energy requirements as well. Thus, by observing this situation there is a certain need of defining specific set of Key Performance Indicators for these private industry power plants that could be followed during installation of power plant projects. As identifying key performance indicators is vital to prioritize low cost/no cost solutions and ensuring energy saving, ensure a safe working environment, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations applied in a specific country and help in studies of technical and economic feasibility. Thus, this research aims to identify, recommend specific set of KPIs and reveal different levels of significance of KPIs for Gas, Diesel/H.F.O and coal power plants installation in private industries of Pakistan. After an extensive literature review, this research identifies 55 KPIs under 8 categories. A questionnaire survey was conducted in order to obtain the desired research objectives. Finally, survey results were analyzed to identify valid set of KPIs and comparison of significance of these KPIs for Gas, Diesel/H.F.O and coal power plants in Pakistan’s private industries. A valuable reference is provided in this study for all the related personnel involved in installation of power plant projects in private industries of Pakistan.Item Sustainable Adoption of E-Health Technology: An Exploratory Survey from the Perspective of Healthcare Professionals.(Library Information Services, CUI Lahore, 2016) Zulqarnain Shafqat; SP18-RPM-009; Dr. Asma ImranThe research in both developed and under develop countries on E-health applications are essential for advance quality of healthcare facilities in healthcare organizations.
