Abstract
Nurses have an important role in the health care system of Pakistan. Progressive Nursing
Services are required to meet the requirements of society and to deal with the upcoming
challenges in the healthcare sector. It has been observed that leadership plays a vital role
in reducing the turnover of nurses. The basic purpose of this study is to determine how
mindful leadership reduces turnover intentions of nurses with the mediating role of
employee stress. Our research population was nurses of public & private hospitals of
Pakistan. The data was collected from 380 participants and data analysis was performed
through SPSS software. Results have shown a significant and negative relationship
between leader mindfulness and employee turnover intentions. These findings extend our
understanding of mindfulness to the realm of leadership, which is a vital area of
organizational research. Furthermore, they add to previous research by demonstrating that
mindfulness dynamics influence the attitudes and behaviors of others in addition to
intrapersonal effects. We explain our findings in light of their contributions to the
literature on mindfulness and leadership.
