Internship Report Askari Bank Limited

Abstract

Starting my internship at Askari Bank Limited gave me a deep understanding of how the bank works and succeeds in finance. I noticed the bank is really committed to making money in a way that lasts and keeps customers happy. They offer a bunch of different financial services and products. During my internship, I saw how much they care about customers. The importance of putting customers first was clear, and I learned how the bank is organized with key people like the regional offices, branches manager, and special departments. I got to explore different types of accounts like the Current Account, Value Premium Business Account, and Askari Maximiser Savings Account. It was interesting to see how the bank customizes these accounts to meet the specific needs of customers, especially those in the business sector. I also learned about mortgage options and how the bank helps customers achieve their financial goals through careful planning. I recognized Askari Bank's strengths, like having a good reputation, using advanced technology, having lots of branches, and doing well financially. But there are challenges, too, such as tough competition in the banking world and not being in many places globally, which makes the bank sensitive to changes in the local economy. There are exciting opportunities for the bank to grow, like the increase in digital transactions, the demand for Islamic banking, and making partnerships with fintech companies. Additionally, it's an opportunity for the bank to adjust its plans to reflect Pakistan's economic expansion. Despite these opportunities, the bank needs to be careful about threats, such as changes in rules, economic uncertainties, cybersecurity risks, and changes in interest rates. Staying alert to these factors will help the bank stay strong and successful.
