Entrepreneurship pertains to the intention of an individual to set up a business, and to undertake financial risks in order to garner monetary profits in the future (Kalantri, 2020). The developmental approach pertains to the use of methods to ensure that the correct brand of sentiments is fostered in the concerned group in order to ensure that they end up becoming the ideal candidate that is sought in a given stream. Entrepreneurship pertains to the desire within an individual of setting up a business, and undertaking financial risks in order to garner monetary profits in the future. The use of the developmental approach in guiding students is one of the key aspects of business education today. Management institutions around the world recognize the importance of having the correct values of a leader cultivated within a candidate in business institution. An ideal candidate would have to be able to gauge risks, properly evaluate opportunities, and undertake the best course of action in a given situation. However, this would not be possible, despite the provision of an appropriate level of theoretical grounding, without the nurturing of certain core tenets of entrepreneurial activity within the student concerned. The developmental approach to entrepreneurship education pertains to the achievement of exactly that aspect of students’ personality development. This paper shall focus on the development of a tangible analysis of the said approach, how it pertains to a variety of aspects of entrepreneurial education, and whether or not the current systems of education are capable of delivering on their promises in this regard to an appropriate extent.
