| dc.description.abstract | The cement industry within the nation had a more easier start at the moment of independence compared to other industries, supported by the simple availability of the crucial raw material gypsum across the country. Four were located in what was then West Pakistan along with one in what is now East Pakistan, for a total of five units (now Bangladesh). The available infrastructure might handle some of the market demand. Five more plants were added in the subsequent thirteen years. During the 1970s, when Pakistan's economy was heavily controlled, the State Clinker Corporation of that nation (SCCP) oversaw all of the participating businesses. Nishat Group, whose name is D.G. Cement Company Limited, bought one of these factories during the second privatization of these units in the 1990s. Strategically affiliated with the biggest Pakistani industrial conglomerate, Nishat Group, is D.G. Imran Cement Company Limited. With a share of the market of about 11.4%, D.G. Khan Cement Industry is at the top. Its product is the most expensive on the market, yet it outsells all of its rivals because to its superior quality. Dera Ghazi Khan is home to the facility, whereas Lahore is the site of the headquarters. The location of the factory, which is in the most inaccessible parts of Punjab, ended up being a boon for the business. Reason being, it is a central location for the three primary raw materials: limestone, shale, and gypsum. D.G. Khan is home to two of its plants. A Japanese plant and an older one. F.L. Smidths of Denmark is the new plant's owner. At Khair-Purr, a new factory is being built. As of right now, its total installed capacity is 7300 TPD. Capacity will grow by a factor of two when the new plant is up and running, reaching over 14,000 TPD. The cement is also being sent to Afghanistan by the firm at the moment. The team of D.G. Hani Cement Company is the company's success story. The marketing group, which was vital to the company's success, is only one example of how the whole team takes the initiative. The total installed capacity is currently 25,000 TPD | |
