Abstract

I worked as a Sales Representative for BEXTA, it is a company that specialized in drop shipping for the US federal government, throughout my internship. By closely collaborating with a group committed to streamlining government procurement, I was able to acquire priceless insight into the subtleties of federal business processes. My team leader, Imtiaz Durrani, helped me develop critical abilities in sales, teamwork, and communication. Participating in the unique business strategy of the organization, I actively supported activities on significant portals like GSA and Unison, expanding my knowledge of federal procurement procedures. The event strengthened my understanding of sales tactics and served as a reminder of how important teamwork is to accomplishing organizational goals. It gave them a place to practice building productive teams and emphasized the value of flexibility. Further more as it was my first time working in a professional environment, I learned a lot about how operations are done in an environment as BEXTA was able to provide me. I was able to gain hands on experience on how to manage time for every little thing that was being done. I was able to know what it feels to have professional people around feels like that much more than that I was able to recognize the points that I am good at either it talking to government officials on vendors from which we get quotes. The thing that I could pin point that got me thinking through this time was how the world dynamics have drastically changed that one doesn’t have to go on fields and make money when all of the world can just simply be operated by a laptop while sitting, from ordering things that are in thousands of quantities can be bought, marketed and sold on online platforms. Coming to the conclusion it was an experience that taught me a lot on how and where the world is leading.
