Abstract
The core aim of this study was to understand the impact of HR planning on organizational performance. This involves the importance of overall human resource management functions and how workforce productivity is linked with sound implementation of human resource planning. This study has been done through qualitative approach, previous researches and research articles have been analyzed with additions to few interviews with relevant personnel. The objective of the study covers the core need for human resource management and how HRP linked to workforce productivity. Top organizations around the world have been discussed with reference to human resource planning. Thorough analysis has been done on what HR planning strategies have been used by these organizations. Various barriers considering human resource planning confronted by Pakistani organizations have been discussed and on the basis of evidence various recommendations have been proposed to these organizations. Majority of the recommendations are based on the results yielded by top organizations which were taken as examples.
