Abstract

The management mantra at Cotton, also known as web is teamwork. The company's policy has been tested and proven as it has grown from a small operation to a substantial enterprise. The corporation has progressed and "risen" to meet modern demands by providing goods of "excellence." The highly trained and cohesive team of production engineers control all the activities including sample development, pre-production & post-production research CAD/CAM for garment designing, pattern making, marker making, grading, production flow and layout design. Production planning department plays a role of a backbone for the production process. The calculated & controlled operations and their time studies by the planning and industrial engineering department have made the company to deliver on time. The cooperation spirit and good leadership have made cutting and sampling department to have better efficiency and greater targets and these departments are employed with latest Gerber Garment Technology (GGT) to eliminate possibility of errors. Having the capacity of 10,000 garments per week and direct labor of 485 workers the stitching section of Unit 1 has a sophisticated range of machinery consisting of machines of different origins from all over the world. The washing section of cotton web has the most modern and up-to-date washing facilities comprising of Turkish, Chinese and English equipment.
