dc.description.abstractDue to increase in traditional eating habits and lifestyle of people, food and its allied industries become Pakistan’s 2nd largest industry and holds world 8th largest market, accounts 27% of its value-addition production with total employment rate of 16% in manufacturing sector. From 2012-2018, $223.5m is the annual average of food industry in FDI with 180 million consumers. Agriculture, food production, manufacturing and retailing are all included in food industry, therefore it spans everything from farming and livestock to food processing, distribution and marketing. In Pakistan, the food industry is generally categorized.
