Around the world total population of Muslims is 1.8 billion and out of this approximately 422 million people can speak Arabic language. Therefore, only 20% of Muslims can understand the Arabic language and 80% of Muslims can’t understand the Arabic language. Arabic is the fifth most spoken language in the world. (Library Information Services, CUI Lahore, 2021) Muhammad Saad; LHR TP 7512; FA17- BCS-004; Dr. Atifa Athar
Humans tend to face several issues concerning their emotions in society. Such issues with dealing with their emotions may stop them from reaching out to a therapist. Psychologists use several methods to resolve emotional conflicts faced by patients with mental issues including cognitive psychotherapy. Cognitive understanding plays a huge role in the betterment of the emotional competence of a patient. Henceforth, there is a requirement of such an agent that may play the role of a helping- hand to the human therapist in this task by aiding them in getting an idea of the emotions of the human patient. Therefore, a combination of different areas of research and development; Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, Game Design, and Game Development is required to model the interaction between a human and an artificial agent through the means of a video game and a textual conversation that represent classified emotions per a proposed model. Such an agent is required to observe the emotions of the player based on the decisions made and then work as a one-way conversational artificial bot to ask certain pre-selected questions that help the bot guess the emotions of the player. Upon the basis of such a sentiment analysis, the model responds by providing media-oriented recommendations to the player

    Interactive Student Academic Counsellor (ISAC)
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) Maleeha Qureshi; FA16-BCS-201; Dr. Atifa Athar; LHR TP 6202
This report describes the project proceedings and the background knowledge of Artificial Intelligence that shall be utilized throughout the making of the project. The project is based on designing an intelligent agent (ISAC) that will assist the students in matters related to student services provided on campus. This agent will carry out time-consuming academic tasks that as it would need to evaluate the cases of all students to specify certain choices. It will be able to facilitate students according to the policy of the institution. The current manual system of registering, adding, dropping, withdrawal of courses is outdated nowadays and it has also put mental stress on students. The current system lacks student counseling and advising rendering it difficult and frustrating for students to perform efficiently in their academics. A lot of helpful assistance can be taken by artificial intelligence. Intelligent agents are designed today to help humans in their daily problems. These agents are efficient as they assist humans in minimizing their workload. Robots (Hanson robotics Sophia, Mayfield robotics Kuri), Chatbots (Tutor, Mitsuku, and Uberbot), virtual agents (Amelia, Siri), and softbots have provided assistance to human in their work.

    Robot Navigation using Situation Awareness
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) H.M Suleman Khan; FA16-BCS-055; Dr. Atifa Athar; LHR TP 6203
In the presence of efficient ongoing changes that are being brought in industry, the concept of automation is becoming a well-known factor in robots. The main focus of this project would be to let the robot navigate in a dynamic industrial environment and for it to reach the desired target. This project includes that if any blocking situation occurs during navigation, the robot will reach the target by using an alternate path. As the robot may experience an obstacle during navigation, it would use the concept of situation awareness to define its required path for reaching the target. The robot will also be responsible for solving any unwanted event that may occur during its navigation towards the target location.
