Item “Effects of Accounting Information System software on Organizational Performance(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) MAAZ; MARRIUM HURR; LHR TP 6612The objective of this project is to investigate and explore the impact of Accounting Software on business performance of DG Khan Cement. The study discusses and explores the effects of using AIS on the firm's performance. Several characteristics such as efficiency, reliability, ease of use, data quality and accuracy influenced the use of AIS, thereby affecting the performance of firms. Modern literature and the result of this study shows that these AIS characteristics possessed by the accounting information such have significant effects on the use of AIS and firm's performance. Previous researches have shown that it is crucial for firms to use AIS to ensure the survival and sustainability of business in the increasingly competitive environment besides enhancing their business operations competency and efficiency. The major problematic source towards the organizations and corporates is the accounting field by the way its intended users need to clarify the accounting software’s which are suitable on the basis of their day today accounting and business needs. The fundamental error occurring in all kind of working environment and organizations are not finding the correct solution toward accounting and decision making by the selection of main accounting packages and apps. The key course of action is how to choose accounting software and apps by the businesses in DG Khan Cement factory. This study is one of few that could shed light on how the use of AIS affects the performance of firms. In this study, the propose dimensions of using AIS are important for improve the performance of business organizations.Item Financial Literacy and Its Relation to Stock Market Participation by Students(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) HAMZA RIAZ; MARRIUM HURR; CUI/FA17-BAF-016/LHR; LHR TP 6614Pakistan has an enormous population of university students. Every year, university students graduate and start their hunt for jobs. However, this is not the only time they look for opportunities to earn money. They often resort to minimum paying freelance jobs to make extra money to help them with their expenses. Pakistan stock exchange is one of the opportunities with the most potential to turn into a profitable career. Most students either do not know about the operations of the stock market or are too reluctant to participate as traders or investors because of severe misconceptions about the stock market and a lack of awareness and trust from an educational point of view. The aim of this study was to identify whether students in Pakistan possessed an understanding of the financial institutions and investment related matters. Through a process of primary research targeted towards university students of the Lahore area and an account of existing literature, the study aimed to find how these students' financial knowledge relates to their potential stock market participation. Finding this out would help identify the underlying factors that can be improved to encourage students' participation in the stock market. And to find out if certain steps can be taken to encourage the behavior of students towards stock markets.
