Item React Crud Scaffolding(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) Umair Shahzad; SP16-BCS-077; M Usman Akram; LHR TP 6285For any database driven web application, the developers have to implement at least four operations Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) virtually on every table present in database. This results in developing the repetitive tasks of creating the web forms and database connectivity as the process of connecting and querying the database remains the same for almost all of the tables. Especially when there are only a handful of relations between tables e.g. has one or has many. Front end and Back end implementations may vary from application to application but in case of Authentication and Authorization almost all applications have same functionality. There exist many instant CRUD generators in different technologies but almost all of them come as a black box and are difficult for the developers to modify. We have bridged this gap by providing the MERN specific React CRUD generation tool called React Crud Scaffolding which would automate the implementation of the aforementioned functions in a standard REST way. Our developed tool does not generate the CRUD operations as a black box instead it generates the code for the application for both frontend and backend according to the JSON schema provided. We used both configurations and conventions to ease out the process while generating code. It will help the web application development community to create more complex and quality web applications in less time.Item Smart Learning Advance Tools for Education (SLATE) in Math for Grades 3-4 for Windows(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) Muhammad Qasim; SP16-BCS-102; Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Habib; LHR TP 6286Smart Learning Advanced Tools for Education (SLATE) is the part of a mega project on self-learning, evaluation, reporting to teachers and parents. We are developing SLATE in Math for grades 3 and 4 for windows platform. This application is based on creative learning methodologies with the help of animated video, practice forms and evaluation exercises. The concepts of the Punjab Text Book Board and Oxford are kept in mind while developing the project. Learning for students is made easy, attractive and exciting with the help of animation videos and practice exercises. Both practice and evaluation are done on randomly generated questions. Further, the design is developed in such a way that children will learn it in the first blink.Item METRNME(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) UMAIS AMEEN; SP16-BCS-030; Dr. Hassan Jamal; LHR TP 6167Countless solo aspiring musicians, be it vocalists or instrumentalists struggle on a daily basis to get hands on inspiration. While listening to officially released music can be one of the best sources for inspiration, but in this specific endeavour, an even more appropriate and natural source of hands on inspiration, is pre-produced audio tracks with which musicians can synchronously practice their playing abilities or vocalize. A mobile application, with great emphasis on the UI/UX (User Interface & Experience) can cater to these problems, featuring a user-friendly audio streaming interface, and a library of audio tracks specifically crafted and labelled by musicians to assist other solo musicians. Moreover, the app aims to also engage music listeners to validate the prowess of audio producers associated with the platform. The mobile platform will also allow musicians to effectually collaborate in the music production process. Be it solo musicians or musicians working together on different audio tracks, any track/s uploaded to the platform will help form portfolios of different artists that other artists can explore to and get hands-on inspiration from.Item EMR: Electronic Medical Record(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) Abdullah Qureshi; SP16-BCS-225; Amaid Zia; LHR TP 6283In this modern era where everything is just one touch away people face difficulties in the field of medical treatments. People leaving in remote areas are the most affected ones and those who live in urban areas face the same difficulty but some-how they manage to find the right solution. In our country where people face the difficulty of judging a fake and a real doctor people need something that could assure the people that which doctor is authentic and appropriate for their treatment. Sometimes the patient has to visit the doctor more than once or twice this means that the patient has to keep record of his/her previous visit details like prescription and diet. Keeping record of pages which tend to get mis placed or get torn are very difficult to kept record of in these busy times. Our project’s aim is to develop a user-friendly application that every person can use with ease. It will help the user to find the right doctor for their treatment not only this but will also help in keeping record of their visits to all previously visited doctors along with their diagnosis details, prescriptions and any pre-cautions suggested. This application will also guide the user about the directions to the doctor using maps. Once we successfully complete this project it will show the user all the list of doctors with whom he/she can make appointment, view fees a doctor charges on each visit, the location of the doctor where he/she sits and most of all the user will be able to keep track of his medical record.Item Pothole Detection using an Android Application(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) Hamza Tanveer; SP16-BCS-010; Dr Usama Ijaz Bajwa; LHR TP 6279Potholes and bad road conditions are some concerning issues, which we have been dealing with nowadays. The main issue arises when the authorities have to spend a lot of time detecting where exactly the pothole is. To solve this issue, we will be developing an application that will not only detect the pothole but also pin the location on the map. This application can also be used by high speed drivers, to suggest them, when to change the lane on highways or on city roads as there is a pothole ahead, to avoid road accidents and damaged vehicles.Item Rauts(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) AHMAD AKRAM; CIIT/SP16-BCS-098/LHR; Muhammad Nasir; LHR TP 6281The android gaming industry is blooming in the current times and the number of players worldwide is increasing with a rapid pace. There is a constant supply of fresh games in all the genres. However, there is a lack of Death-killer based games on the android platform, as compared to the PC and other gaming consoles. Specifically, games that provide simple and addictive layout. We plan to take this lack as an opportunity and develop an action/adventure game for Android smartphones that will feature a Death-killer based hyper casual multiplayer game, a fast-paced gameplay, and visually stunning graphics and artwork.Item Pakistan’s Hall of Fame(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) Ata Ullah Butt; CIIT/SP16 BCS 009/LHR; Dr. Usama Bajwa; LHR TP 6284The idea is to develop an android application that will take an image as an input, the image then will be processed and will give an output in a form of talking face by augmenting the reality. The facial features will be detected and extracted from the image and will be synced according the given text or speech. Once done, they will be mapped back on the original image. It will be done using image processing, machine learning and voice synthesizing techniques. It will give an impression as if the face is speaking and will bring images to life creating a better learning experience. We are solving these issues through our idea of Nursery Planting System while planting i.e. You can order plant from our app, according to current weather and month suitable plants for planting, chemicals which are necessary and available for plants, also the pesticides for your plants. It is the platform where lawyers can maintain their all daily activities such as meeting schedule and case schedule etc. Lawyers would get rid from maintaining their daily routine activities manually. This application also for those people who are in search of a Lawyer. It will provide them a platform to post their cases and lawyers would see their cases and contact them.Item Robot Task Planning using Semantic maps(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) Muhammad Arslan; CIIT/SP16-BCS-136/LHR; Asmara Safdar; LHR TP 6317In this final year project, we are going to work on robot’s task planning. In task planning, robots plan a sequence of high-level actions to perform a given task autonomously. To perform a basic robot (e.g. such as a service robot) operation autonomously, spatial information and general knowledge (domain knowledge and meaning of the objects) about the objects is needed. Spatial information includes position and geometry of objects, a structure of space, connectivity among places and areas, and the appearance of the objects. In our work, for knowledge of the objects, we focus on the use of semantic knowledge which is integrated with the spatial information by semantic maps. Use of semantic knowledge can improve efficiency to perform certain tasks, we are using specific environment for our robot, in which the task planning will be done by the robot.
