Pothole Detection using an Android Application

Abstract

Potholes and bad road conditions are some concerning issues, which we have been dealing with nowadays. The main issue arises when the authorities have to spend a lot of time detecting where exactly the pothole is. To solve this issue, we will be developing an application that will not only detect the pothole but also pin the location on the map. This application can also be used by high speed drivers, to suggest them, when to change the lane on highways or on city roads as there is a pothole ahead, to avoid road accidents and damaged vehicles.
