To overcome this issue E-diary introduced. This application not only be easy to use but also multi-purpose and multi-functional. People now able to read news, see weather forecast, schedule their events just one application and by one click.Item Smart Parking System(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2022-11-20) Usama Jamil; SP18-BCS-049; Muhammad FarhanTraffic congestion, time consuming search for a vacant parking space and insecure parking is a major outcome of growing motorization, which is expanding the demand for dedicated parking spaces, especially in central areas. To ease the mentioned issues, the keen stopping framework has been created. With the execution of the intelligent framework, supporters can without much of a stretch find a secure empty parking spot at Parking which seems convenient to them. Currently we have systems like these which uses sensor technology to indicate a vacant parking space but these systems are very expensive and thus not equally efficient, to secure the parking premises man power is required. Instead of using sensors cameras are used for both purposes i.e. to detect the vacant and free parking spaced and for real time surveillance of the vehicles, which is less costly and easy to maintain with less man power. Computer Vision module along with some database module would be installed in our project to fulfill requirements of our parking System.Item Full Stack App Creator(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2021-11-20) Muhammad Waqas Ilyas; SP17-BCS-052; M. Usman Akram; LHR TP 7182For all database driven web applications, developers need to implement at least four CRUD (create, read, update, and delete) operations for almost every table in the database. This leads to the development of repetitive tasks of creating a web form and connecting to the database because the process of connecting and querying the database remains the same for almost all tables. Especially when there are few relationships between tables. Front-end and back-end implementation may vary from application to application, but with authentication and authorization, almost all applications will have the same functionality. There are many instant CRUD generators for various technologies, but they are almost all black boxes and difficult for developers to adapt. We bridged this gap by providing a dedicated CRUD React production tool for MERN called Full Stack App Creator that automates the implementation of the above functionality in standard REST1 mode. Our advanced tool generates application code for frontend and backend according to the specified JSON scheme without generating CRUD functions in black box. We used configurations and rules to simplify the code generation process. This helps you develop web applications to build more sophisticated and high quality web applications in less time.Item NCEAC Compliance Portal(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2021-11-20) Hassan Nawaz; SP17-BSE-036; Sabeen AmjadThe NCEAC is an accreditation authority that looks after accreditation of institutes and gives them appropriate ratings. For NCEAC accreditation, currently, hectic paperwork is done manually. Time is wasted in printing, storing, and managing papers. Teachers use the form to fill in detail about courses including assignments, quizzes, and supporting material which is also approved by reviewers such as the teaching area in-charge. If a single document is missing from the folder then it is very difficult to arrange that document especially when the folder is of any previous semester. The folder has to be presented during the accreditation process for which it should be 100% complete. We will develop a web application which will digitize this process and will allow instant uploading documents, and adding remarks. The main objective of this project is to improve the process of accreditation by minimizing the use of paper and making document transfer and review process faster.Item Mathaholic(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2021-11-20) Bushra Ashraf; FA17-BSE-002; Najam-us-Sehar; LHR TP 7060Poor performance in mathematics education has been a rising concern in several countries in recent years. Children are interested in playing games and learning through games. Therefore,in this project, we create an educational game application that facilitates math beginners to be an expert in Mathematics. Also, by using graphic representations and communicating characters, they can learn the skills and validate their ability level by playing games and solving riddles. It helps the business owners to handle huge amount of data in an easier and convenient way. For example, in a country like Pakistan the pet clinic owners face difficulty in managing the data of the pets and their owners. This application will be beneficial for both the pet owners and clinic owners. Apart from managing the records of the pets, it also helps the business owners to promote their business online. It also benefits the pet owners because not only they can book their appointment for the treatment but they can purchase any item related to pets online.Item Developing a Corpus of Sentential Paraphrases for Urdu Language(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2015-11-20) Muhammad Umar Sarwar; Sp11-Bcs-148; Dr Muhammad Rao Adeel Nawab; LHR TP 6916The main aim of this project was to explore the problem of paraphrasing at sentence level. Our first task was to develop an Urdu corpus with instances of paraphrase and non-paraphrase sentence pairs. The corpus created contains examples of sentence level paraphrase news pairs from journalism. After developing corpus we applied the existing Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms to detect the similarity between the original and rewritten (paraphrased) text. The problem of discriminating paraphrase pairs from non-paraphrase ones casted as a supervised classification task using existing Machine Learning (ML) algorithms. We evaluated the effect of paraphrase and non-paraphrase pairs in the dataset. N-gram overlap and Longest Common Subsequence (LCS) two popular and effective approaches for paraphrase detection were applied on the dataset. Containment similarity score for unigrams, bigrams, trigrams, four-grams and five-grams along with LCS were used as features for classification. Evaluation was carried out using precision, recall and F1 measure. Results showed that it is not trivial to detect paraphrasing created using manual methods.Item #PlanMeet&Log(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2021-11-20) Zain UL Haq; SP17- BSE-141; Sheeza Zaheer#PlanMeet&Log is a web-based application providing scheduling, management, and facilitation of meetings. Through our application, meetings can be planned and created in no time. Reminders would be sent to all participants in the created meeting. Each user would have a profile consisting the information of all the meetings he/she has attended or planned. Furthermore, meeting creator can add progress of everyone attending the meeting and their attendance record will be maintained. We are providing a feature of both online and offline meetings. Users can do messaging and video calling in the case of online meeting.Item Online FIR System(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2015-11-20) TAIMOOR ZAFAR; DDP-SP11-BCS 042; LHR TP 6975The purpose of our web based project is to create an Online FIR System in which a citizen will be able to register his complaint in electronic way without losing the comfort of home. With the blessings of Computer Sciences and Information Technology field our project will facilitate the user with functionality of map so that user can better judge that where he will send his complaint. In addition to this our system will enable the user to forward the complaint to higher authorities (SDPO) in case when the complaint is not processed for the specific period of time by a particular police station. Our system is facilitating the citizen and as well the Government level Police officers by maintaining the complaints in a digital manner and to get rid of the manual complaint system. Online FIR System will minimize the bribery up to extent level and avoid red taping which is heavily involved in the process of registering FIR manually, which certainly bogs down the confidence of general public.Item Industrial Based iOS (Apple) Applications(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2015-11-20) FAHAD NAEEM; CIIT/ DDP-SP11-BCS-018/LHR; MUHAMMAD USMAN AKRAM; LHR TP 6917This project is based on real industrial applications for the iOS platform. These applications will be creative and rich in features; after the completion of each application it will be published to the client. Key features of these applications are problem solving of real life. These applications will be helpful for people to ease their daily life work. These application will help them in their daily routines. Some of these applications will be based on artificially intelligent games and native applications. The whole pack of those applications will follow the modular approach for development in which module will be developed by project members and the final build of each module will be send to the client for verification and for satisfaction and further development will be performed on it. So at the end all modules will be integrated and will make a proper fully functional application that will satisfy the requirements of the user, client and other people. With the collaboration of COMSATS University and software house Horizon this project is centralized and based on real time environment to create applications for real clients. This will increase the experience level among the members of this project and they will be able to solve the problems that are actually exists in the market. With this experience they will be able to work on the major technical projects. In this project the main tools and technology that will be used for development are X-Code for iOS applications, and Cocos 2d for game development.
