    Neighbourhood
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2015) Adil Naeem; FA11-BAR-002; Dr. Aksam; LHR TP 4525
Neighbourhood refers to a geographically defined area where people live in close proximity and interact with one another in their daily lives. It represents the immediate social and physical environment surrounding individuals and families. A neighbourhood typically includes residential houses, local facilities, roads, parks, schools, and markets that support the daily needs of the community. Social relationships, cultural values, and community participation within a neighbourhood play an important role in shaping residents’ quality of life, safety, and well-being. Thus, a neighbourhood functions not only as a physical space but also as a social unit that fosters interaction, cooperation, and a sense of belonging among its residents
