Item Analyzing Social Entrepreneurship in Microfinance Banks: Connecting Entrepreneurial Orientation and Firm Performance(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, 2019) Fahmal Arshad; SP17-RPM-006; Dr. Basharat Naeem; LHR TP 5693The purpose of this study is to provide a better perceptive of the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance in microfinance banks located in Pakistan by evaluating the mediating impact of social entrepreneurship between entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance. This study contributes in entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance link and proves to be the first attempt to address the need of SE as an underlying mechanism. Data was collected from the senior management of microfinance banks in Pakistan. A total of 53 respondents ware collected from 10 MFBs. This study uses SPSS as statistical software and adopts Multiple Linear Regression to test the mediated relationship. The result shows that the direct effect of entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance is significant while indirect effect is insignificant which needs further investigation. The study is limited with primarily low sample size and the deficient measure of time accessible to examine the issue and accumulate information.Item Impact of Project Governance on Construction Project Management Performance with Moderating Role of Top Management Support.(Library Information Services COMSATS University Islamaabad Lahore Campus, 2019) Shumaila Manzoor; SP17-RPM-006; Dr. Zafar-uz-ZamanAnjum; LHR TP 5693This research endeavours to address the question of how to enhance project management performance by looking at the relationships among project governance and construction project management performance in three cities of Pakistan. The proposed components of project governance are portfolio direction, project sponsorship as well as project effectiveness & efficiency, and disclosure & reporting whereas the project management performance is measured in terms of time, cost, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The research utilizes an empirical survey methodology. The questionnaire was administered to 300 construction employees working in private companies of CA category in three well known cities of Pakistan and out of 300 questionnaires 190 were received out of them 161 were usable responses or a response rate of 53.66%. Self-administered questionnaire were distributed among respondents by using non probability sampling technique. The data was analyzed by using software, called SPSS AMOS. The results suggest that project governance has a positive impact on project management performance. Moreover, this study found that three dimensions of project governance, i.e., portfolio direction, project sponsorship as well as project effectiveness & efficiency, and disclosure & reporting are positively associated with project management performance. In addition, in this study the moderating effect of top management support has strengthened the relationship between project governance and project management performance.
