    Impact of transformational leadership on project success in IT sector: The mediating role of team building and moderating role of organizational culture

    The purpose of this research is to explore the transformational leadership impact on project success with the mediating role of team-building and moderating role of organizational culture. The leader has important role in the project success because it boost the project performance and efficiency. Leaders also have impressive roles in the organization at various levels. It is hard to implement required changes in the absence of effective leadership. Additionally it is also assumed that leadership behavior plays a significant impact on team performance and project fertility. Team performance increases when the leaders clarify to their team members about the project purpose. Leader or manager has a primary responsibility to facilitate its team members and to provide them with a friendly culture where they can get a chance to polish and enhance their skills and ready to adopt modern challenges and to contribute in project success (Anantatmula, 2010).With the open communication among the team, organizational culture plays an important role toward project success. Due to open communication team can create an attractive culture where team members can clarify the objectives and their responsibilities, also can discuss the new ideas and can solve the complex problems easily (Qubaisi, Elanain, Badri & Ajmal, 2015). This study is correlative in nature and for hypothesis testing and existing relationship testing among the variables i.e. transformational leadership, project success, team building and organization culture, correlative inferential statistical analysis techniques will be used. Questionnaire method will be used for primary data collection and to collect and analyze data. To select participant’s convenience sampling technique will be applied. The population and sample of the study include team members and project managers of project teams working in the IT sectors located in the city of Pakistan i.e. Lahore.
