Cloud Native Based Web Analytical Tool
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) M. Zain Yousaf; FA16-BCS-176; Dr. Muhammad Hasan Jamal; LHR TP 6157
For business growth, many organizations and companies need to know the activities of the users on their websites. These activities include the number of active users on a webpage, session duration, page visits per session, bounce rate etc. along with the information on the source of the traffic. For business owners, this information is required for multiple purposes; 1) control over his/her sensitive data and 2) website activity to help in decision making. These services are also known as web analytics services. This project proposes a cloud-native customizable web analytics tool that facilitates the business owners with web analytics services without having to use third-party web analytics tools that compromise data privacy. The proposed tool gives user (business owners in this case) full control over their data so they can freely obtain their desired information without having to worry about any privacy issues.

Thermal-Aware Data Center Work Load Simulator
(Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus., 2020-11-20) Usama Tahir; FA16-BCS-012; Dr. Muhammad Hasan Jamal; LHR TP 6168
Servers are running around the clock that generates huge amount of heat and in out-turn it arises the temperature in datacenters. High temperature effects the other components like racks, power supply and cabling system in the datacenters. Cooling system are being used to control the temperature of datacenters that are very much costly. We introduced thermal aware load balancing policies in datacenters, which will keep the track of heat generated by servers and manage the load of data in such a way that servers will generate minimum amount of heat. It would not only keep the temperature of datacenters in control but also reduces the cost of coolants and cooling systems. It will keep the track for amount of heat generated by each server through visual representation using visualization tool. This would help to implement and choose the load balancing policies in datacenters for work load according to the temperature measures that best suits the respective datacenter.
