Abstract:
This study examined the adoption of hybrid work model in J&P Coats Pakistan. The
aim of the study was to suggest a sustainable work model against the increasing cost
challenges, difficulty to main profits and work-life balance issues of employees. For
this purpose, relevant global and indigenous literature was reviewed and data was
collected from a sample of 32 employees. The data was analyzed using SPSS-23
software. The results depicted a strong willingness of employees to adopt hybrid work
arrangement along with some concerns about new work model. The study provided a
number of solutions to assist organization in effective implementation of hybrid work
model. The solutions included; implementing the hybrid work model in gradual phases,
accompanied by regular feedback from employees and carefully monitoring its impact
on cost and expenditures, developing clear guidelines and policies about new work
model, shifting the criteria of employees’ performance, developing a culture of
inclusivity for all employees and updating the technological infrastructure with time.
Limitations of the present study and related recommendations were also discussed.
