Abstract:
This report addresses the importance of designing safe, conducive and positive learning
environments. A sanctuary for every child where safety, imagination and creativity coexist in
harmony within a single setting. This thesis focuses on creating a school that does not serve merely
as an educational facility but also nurtures as a home for the young individuals to feel safe and
learn better. Through a holistic design approach designing a supportive, inclusive and engaging
school to address the issue of bullying in schools. Ascertaining every aspect of the school
environment- physical, social dynamics and emotional well-being, holistic design shall create a
culture of respect, growth and prosperity among students. The focus is not just mitigating risks of
bullying behavior but also providing a conducive environment for introvert and extrovert
personality types. Finally, the research shall inspire other architects and designers to create interior
spaces that largely considers the holistic aspects of a space and its user.
