any business. Human Resource Management covers multiple activities under its head
initiating from strategic planning to proper team formation. It is a diverse field and includes
multiple functions such as 1. Recruitment and Selection 2. Compensation and Benefits 3.
Training and Development etc. Training and development are a significant Human
Resource function that is crucial for the success of any organization. Training and
Development aims at attaining organizational effectiveness by enhancing individual’s
skills and knowledge that will further add value to their prospective careers. Different
Techniques are integrated by organizations to equip their employees with these skills and
knowledge. Training and Development is the upskilling of individuals that ultimately
results in enhanced effectiveness of any business. Descon Technical Institute is a premier
institute that aims at schooling individuals that otherwise cannot afford to get an education,
with skills and knowledge that will add value to them. This will ultimately help them in
attaining a better livelihood. Moreover, these individuals will add to the Pakistani industry
and simultaneously improve the economy. The major problem at DTI is the lack of training
for its staff and administration. DTI is the institute that provides skills to the future of
Pakistan but the ones providing them still lack updated knowledge and skills. DTI is
equipping individuals with new skills, but their techniques and methodologies are
longstanding. This lack of new skills and techniques results in decreased productivity,
performance, and organizational effectiveness. Several solutions are highlighted to fill in
this gap. The best way to fill in this gap is to arrange proper training sessions with trainers
that will introduce them to new ways of teaching and make them familiar with new
technologies. Odoo is software that provides access to different tools like ERP and CRM.
This will help the trainers understand these tools better and incorporate the utilization for
the timely process of their information and claims. Arranging and providing the training to
the DTI shall aid in mastering the updated skills in their prospective fields and facilitate in
transferring the best knowledge, and skills to the students enhancing their capabilities. In
this way, DTI would be able to achieve its vision to be the top-ranking institute for
vocational education and enable the students to overcome the pathway of unemployment
and education.
