Abstract:
A construction firm's capacity to integrate its processes with supply chain partners is
crucial for adapting to the dynamic market demands. Successful management of
supply chains has the potential to play a pivotal role in enhancing overall performance.
The main objective of the current study was to evaluate the effectiveness of supply
chains process using tools of business analytics and measure their effects on supply
chains performance in construction companies of Pakistan. Business analytics with
plan, source, make, and delivery were identified as independent variables and supply
chain performance as dependent variable. Survey questionnaire using five points
Likert scale was applied for data collection. For this purpose, quantitative method
being a scientific method grounded in positivist paradigm was adopted for this
empirical research. The unit of analysis was Supply Chain personnel while a
questionnaire apprising 27 statements was adapted to collect data from the target
respondents with sample size as 130 (n) out of 150 (N). SPSS version 26.00 along
with Excel spread sheet was utilized to collect and analyze by applying a range of
statistical tests. Discourse of the study resorts to recommend that SC business
performance can prosper with the application of business analytics using SCOR
model. Supporting business process orientation is required to analyze and equalize the
balance between supply chain companies and impact of BA on performance. Future
research is recommended to highlight the impact of BA on different performance areas
with the bigger sample size.
