dc.description.abstractThe Region of Baltistan is neglected with respect to socio-economic progress. The higher education set up and the medical infrastructure and services are in terrible condition. Therefore the institutional arrangements for quality education and other medical services cannot fulfill the demands to meet the present challenges, resulting in low self-esteem, depression and anxiety and other medical issues. The people have to dependent on other provinces which cause different social and economical issues. It is necessary to improve and need to understand the problems by focusing on medical and educational issues of the region and their historical perspective, environmental sustainability and physical atmosphere of the region. These mentioned aspects are based on medical problems and services, educational issues and its facilities, the living patterns and local context of the region, economical and environmental concerns related to that area. Focusing on these issues can play a vital role in the prosperity of the region.
