In today’s modern era, mental health is a major societal concern. The use of the latest and advanced technologies can help overcome mental health problems among individuals by providing psychotherapy and guidance to facilitate them. Many applications are built that solely rely on text-based communication, but only a few rely on voice-based communication, which is considered more effective for providing therapy to many people. The research in this field has shown that voice-based assistants are greatly helpful for individuals facing mild to moderate mental health issues. The idea is to develop an embodied conversational agent that will help people overcome mental health concerns. It will reduce feelings of loneliness, stress, depression, and procrastination by providing emotionally responsive communication to people. It will pave a path to their better well-being.
