Abstract
The basic purpose of this study is to evaluate and examine the relationship between Total
reward and doctors’ performance through using commitment as a mediator in their
relationship. Performance is judged when researchers have to evaluate organization
growth and efficiency. Previous studies basically focused on few dimensions of total
reward i.e., benefits or recognition but all dimensions were not tested with commitment as
a mediator. Drawing on expectancy theory employees put effort in expectation that their
effort leads to performance which ultimately leads towards satisfactory reward. We
propose that total rewards (TR) is an important tool that helps to increase the Employee
Performance by enhancing commitment level among the employees in the workplace
ambience. Almost 180 questionnaires were distributed and 100 were finalized. The data
collected was from online questionnaires and by distributing in public hospitals of
Punjab. SPSS software was used for analysis of responses collected. The result shows
that there is significant positive relationship among TR and DP. Moreover results show
that commitment positively mediates the relationship of both variables. In the last,
conclusion, implication, recommendation, and future study are also presented at the end
of the study.
