Kites of Pakistan” explores the cultural, historical, and social significance of kite flying as a traditional recreational activity in the region. Deeply rooted in festivals such as Basant, kite flying represents joy, competition, craftsmanship, and community engagement, particularly in cities like Lahore. The study highlights the artistry involved in kite making, the symbolism of colors and designs, and the role of kites in public celebrations. It also examines the contemporary challenges faced by this tradition, including regulatory restrictions and safety concerns. The research emphasizes the need to preserve this intangible cultural heritage while balancing public safety and modern urban realities in Pakistan.
