Resource scarcity due to overpopulation arises when the rapid growth of human populations exceeds the availability of essential natural resources such as food, water, land, and energy. This imbalance places immense pressure on ecosystems, leading to environmental degradation, depletion of natural reserves, and increased competition for limited resources. Overpopulation intensifies issues like deforestation, climate change, and pollution, while also contributing to economic inequality and social instability. Addressing this challenge requires sustainable resource management, population control measures, and global cooperation to ensure long-term environmental and human well-being.
