| dc.description.abstract | Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) in computational fluid dynamics refers to the coupling of fluid flow and structural mechanics, where structural deformation occurs under the influence of fluid forces. FSI analysis is valuable in area such as civil engineering, particularly in the stability of buildings and bridges, aerospace (aircraft structural design), chemical processes, and biomedical engineering, where the coupling of various physics is necessary. The main objective of the study is to test and analyze the effect of fluid flow inside a deformable domain. Three distinct cases are considered within the deformable domain: first, two beams are placed on the bottom wall of the channel; then, two are placed on the upper wall of the channel; and finally, one is placed on the upper side and the other on the lower side of the channel. The FSI method is used to build the model in COMSOL Multiphysics. In addition to testing the structural deformation caused by fluid forces, the analysis focuses on determining the temperature field and velocity distribution inside the channel. The aim of this study is to provide insight into the interaction between fluid flow and deformable structures | |
