dc.description.abstractThe results of this study revealed that system openness is associated with green product development (GPD) through the mediation of green innovation climate. The analysis of the study suggests that system openness plays a decisive role in driving green product development in the electronic industry in Pakistan. Research results depict that companies with high level of system openness are more likely to engage in GPD when combined with green innovation climate GIC. The study collected data through self administered questionnaires and analysed it through SPSS using PROCESS macro. This research concluded that system openness is an important driver of green product development, and this relationship is partially mediated by a supportive green innovation climate around sustainability. Companies that are willing to collaborate and engage with external stakeholders while fostering a culture are more likely to develop environmentally sustainable products that meet the needs of consumers and the broader societY
