dc.description.abstractPurpose −This study investigates the negative relationship between abusive supervision and job satisfaction will be serially mediated by employee knowledge hiding behavior and employee creativity. Design/Methodology/Approach−Data was collected in the form of a questionnaire survey in two time points (time lags of 2 weeks) from teachers at private colleges in Lahore. Sample size 150 by convenience sampling, 144 teachers have completed the full questionnaire survey. Hypothesis are tested by the PROCESS macro (Hayes, 2013). Findings −The results reveal that direct effect of abusive supervision on employee job satisfaction is not significant but through the serial mediation of employee knowledge hiding behavior and employee creativity, it is significant so employee knowledge hiding behavior and employee creativity fully mediate the negative relationship between abusive supervision and employee job satisfaction. Practical Implications−Results shows that in the organization abusive supervision by the mangers towards their employees it can mitigate the employees job satisfaction so in organization there is need to abusive supervision to mitigate the employee’s knowledge hiding behavior and enhance creativity at workplace that ultimately enhance the employees job satisfaction. Originality /value−The study has found organizational leaders should have to work to reduce abusive supervision to foster a healthy organizational culture, where employees feel free to share their knowledge and perform their job duties creatively so they will get more satisfaction towards their jobs and for personal life as well
