Skill tuner – an automated skill learning management web app

Abstract

Learning a new skill in this contemporary world can be a hassle due to the hasty environment that we all are involved in. No one in this world has time for himself/herself let alone learn something new. It does not matter if you are a student, have any job or run a business making time for yourself to learn a new skill is challenging. This task seems tough only because of the time that is consumed when you are about to start learning something. You have to find the relative resources for that courses, have to keep in track of all your progress and also download the tools/soft wares required for that. We are hoping to provide the user with such a platform by through which the user can select any skill he/she likes and the portal will automatically select a track suitable for the user which will provide the user with all the essentials including learning resources and tools/soft wares. This portal will also offer a progress report and comparison feature to the user through which he/she can easily keep track of his progress in a particular skill and compare it with other users on the portal who have registered. Mostly it is seen that people never complete learning the skill online, they left midway. This is because of lack of tracking and no deadlines.
