Abstract
“Lahore’s Ecotone” is envisioned as a research center dedicated to the study, preservation, and promotion of local tree species, while also functioning as a dynamic social space for students. The concept draws inspiration from the ecological idea of an ecotone—a transitional zone where diverse ecosystems interact—symbolizing the blending of education, nature, and community engagement. The center aims to support biodiversity conservation, environmental awareness, and academic research, while providing an inclusive environment for learning, collaboration, and recreation. By integrating green spaces with educational facilities, it promotes sustainable urban development and fosters a deeper connection between people and their natural environment.
