Abstract
In this thesis the architectural design of a Cyber-Physical Science and Technology Museum is
presented. It serves as a direct portal for global technological advancement into Pakistan. As
the world undergoes a rapid shift toward digital and physical ecosystems, there remains a
critical knowledge delay in Pakistan. This project aims to fill that void by providing a space
for the public to come together and experience and interact with the new cyber-physical
phenomena in real-time.
The main focus of the intervention is a state-of-the-art Museum of Future Technologies which
aims to educate and inspire public. And to provide a platform where new experiments and
prototypes can be form. Algorithmic and computational design tools such as Grasshopper and
Rhino are used to extend the limits of the building form in the architecture. The museum's
geometry, which is made up of circular, elliptical and polygonal geometries, which provide
users a 360-degree view and create immersive walkthrough exhibitions. The 'form-as-purpose'
design philosophy ensures the building becomes a 'physical statement' that embodies the
technological changes that it is designed to teach.
The museum is the outward appearance of the project, while it is backed by a high-performance
Research and Development (R&D) and Fabrication wing. These labs are critical to the project's
work. It is the place where global knowledge is converted into local prototypes. The project
will also feature state-of-the-art manufacturing machinery and incubation spaces, providing a
full ecosystem for the development of new ideas. This collaboration of public education and
private innovation is aimed at creating a new generation of Pakistani startups that will create
an environment of excitement and eagerness to explore the cyber-physical frontier
