Abstract

This study examines how Job Stressors (Workload, Role Conflict, and Job Insecurity) impact employees' turnover intention through mediating role of project management self efficacy (PMSE) and the moderating influence of coworker support between the relationship of PMSE and employees’ turnover intention has also been studied. Based on self-efficacy theory, this study provides a test of the effectiveness of project management self-efficacy in relation to job stressors and reducing turnover. The research philosophy used is positivism as data is based on facts. Data was collected from the engineering sector of Pakistan as most of the work performed was on a project basis. The sample size was 122. Data were analyzed using WarpPLS. The study has suggested that Job Stressors (Workload, Role Conflict, and Job Insecurity) and PMSE correlate to employee turnover. Similarly this study also suggests that reduced job stress and increased self-confidence and belief should be promoted among the team members of the project to eliminate the chances of turnover intentions, especially in skillful employees.
