This thesis explores the concept of designing an innovative architecture department that caters to the needs of architecture students, providing them with spaces for both formal and informal learning. The focal point of this design proposal is the studio space, which plays a crucial role in the journey of architecture students. By creating an environment that fosters personalization, collaboration, and creativity, this project aims to enhance the educational experience and promote a holistic approach to architectural education. The design incorporates L-shaped studios, divided into formal and informal areas, with flexible walls opening into a stepped courtyard, creating a cohesive and dynamic learning environment. The design caters to the environment by using contextual design elements like corridors, courtyards, double facades, and transition spaces and using a bracelet-like approach to joining these elements together. 2 This report focuses into the rationale, design principles, and anticipated benefits of such a space for architecture students.
