dc.description.abstractThis thesis presents the general solution for two dimensional, laminar and fully developed flow in the parallel flat membrane system. The fourth order, non linear differential equation contain a free parameter Rw. This parametric Equation is solved by using a very general method i.e power series method. From this general solution expression are developed for velocity components, Normalized velocity and pressure distribution .We also discussed the effect of slip velocity at a porous surface. The effect of slip coefficient on velocity profiles is also examined graphically.
