Similar Sites Search Engine

Abstract

Our project task is to develop a dedicated search website which is based on algorithms that presents sites that are similar, related or alternative sites to the inputted Website, URL or Keyword by the user. Optimized techniques needed to be used to collect bulk amount of data from over 1 Million sites, store and then fetch according to inputted queries. The list of sites similar to the given URL will be rendered sorted according to an index called "similarity score”. Best techniques are needed to implement to decrease the query time and display accurate and best results in less time.
